And NOW, of course, Stephan pastis can have company the next time he ends up in jail; it’s just too bad it has to be one(1) of his “creations,” i.e. PIG, when PIG ends up in jail after the end of this comic strip!!!! WAH!!!! Dan aka one(1) VERY sad fan!!!!

Isn’t it interesting that we see the truth put into words, in a comic, rather than having the MEDIA doing the ‘job’ that once was expected of it, mainly through their own motto of “speaking truth to power”, but, I guess that they get too many ‘perks’ from the government, and the candidates to ask serious questions.

I think it’s misleading because the crooks are selective in their political investments. Sometimes they do invest in both sides, but normally they are shopping for the cheapest politician and the only real problem is that the crooked politicians may not stay bought if they get a better offer. So what we have now is a terrible system where the so-called referees are bribed to make the rules worse and more crooked. (Main exceptions are when they are post facto legalizing old crimes and the cases when the investments are tilted into the “insurance” category.)

Bottom line, Politics comes down to money. The old expression ‘’follow the money’’ is something to think about. Our politicians claim that doing business abroad comes down to huge ’’bribes’’. They shrug their shoulders and throw up their hands and say….’’that’s the way they do business’’. In fact, that’s the way ‘’they do business’’ right here in our country. Ironically, here in the U.S. it isn’t called ’’bribery’’, but nicely sugar-coated and whispered as ‘’insider trading’‘. Put a stop to insider trading and you’ll put a stop to a corrupt government that is out to protect its source of real income. Good politicians are out there, just hard to find.Term limits and ending insider trading is needed now more than ever.

Sounds just like the Biden , Clinton , Obama crew . And some people still want to have them in politics , Whew ! I never knew what his real name was but he was destroyed by the ( lovable ) IRS . : (

Power corrupts, and greed justifies corruption. We never left the jungle because we took its “survival of the fittest” law with us. To solve the problems of others we must first address the problems within ourselves. (and stop believing and participating in the political dog and pony show of distraction)

“I would joyously vote for any candidate who had the courage to stand up and say, ‘Look, I’m going to steal from you. I’m going to line my pockets and those of my friends, but I’m not going to steal too much. But in the deal I’ll give you better roads, safer schools, better education, and a happier condition of life. I’m not going to do it out of compassion or dedication to the good people of this fair state; I’m going to do it because if I do these things, you’ll elect me again and I can steal a little bit more.’ That joker has my vote, no arguments.”. -Harlan Ellison

It’s funny because it’s true. Your political system is just a front for Big Whatever companies. Big Bucks runs the politics show. Your politicians can’t get elected if they don’t have a sh%tload of money, and if they receive that sh%tload of money from Big Whatever, then they are indebted to Big Whatever. And the system is very hard to change. Too many dollars going around.
