Ann is trying to force herself on Tiff. her dad doesn’t care and Ann Awful is doing this on her own. So it’s time for Tiff to finally grow up. I also hope she does. Don’t let Ann win.

If that shrimp salad doesn’t end up all over Ann by Saturday morning it will be a disappointment.

And Tiffany doesn’t need that food. Ann did that right in front of the waiter. He can see it wasn’t Tiffany’s doing, and even if he didn’t see it, all she has to do is say sorry, she changed her mind about the food. As long as she gives it back and doesn’t eat any of it, she’s off the hook for the food.

I am surprised that Tiffany even showed up for this ‘lunch date’. It’s way past time for her to cut her apron strings and head out on her own. It’s pretty clear that her father is too obsessed with Ann to listen to the daughter he only rarely paid attention to in the first place…

Get Gunther to look them up and verify. I’m betting that Mr. Eiffel is still alive, and I’m sure Mr. Ferral would “Love” to meet him.

Talk to Al Gray, preferably WITHOUT Les. Al was quite taken with you during that dinner back in 2017. Maybe he’ll help and provide useful Info, if for not other reason, than to get back at his sister.

And if you “MUST” involve Les (Which Unfortunately, You’re SURE to Do) then introduce him to your Dad as Ann’s Son, because it ain’t bloody likely Ann has told Tom about Les yet.

Well, well. Greg is back to his usual business of harpooning the hell out of Tiffany. I’m reasonably certain that Tiffany was created by Greg in the image of someone who either threw him over, or laid a rack of bad at his feet. I’ve often deliberated if Greg would finally feel avenged when his hand draws Tiffany being driven to the point of not going on any more, realizing life is not worth it. I know, it’s dark, but we may very well know by what happens to Tiffany by the end of the week as to whether Greg will let things ease up on her, or worsen, resulting in her going off the edge. She’s barely back from the clutches of a destructive bout of depression, so she could still be fragile. Then, again, aside from if things go badly in this arc for Tiffany, just knowing that Greg appears to be pushing her into the arms of that surly momma’s boy of a dweeb, Gunther, or that walking ration of snake oil, Les, would be enough for someone to want to check out. What a horrible fate on all fronts. I’m aware that Tiffany and none of this is real, but…

Did Tom Farrell decide to cut Tiffany off because she wouldn’t stay with Ann after he left Ann and Tiffany the other day and could tell the fake smile Tiffany slapped on her face in the picture Ann sent him? Or is this all Ann’s doing? If Tiffany wouldn’t have lunch with her, she’d cut her off and talk Tom into agreeing that it is for the best. Knowing Ann, I am leaning on the latter.

Perhaps, while Ann has control of the scissors, she will give Tiff that much needed new hair style.

Tiff, you really need to start packing a 9mm in that purse for such occasions…

Did Tom Farrell really cut off Tiff by the demands of Ann telling him if you want pussy you need to cut all ties with Tiffany who hates me because i’m with you.

Ann wants to control tom and tiff, by any means necessary. But best case scenario: ann is so determined to control tiff and treat her like her own child that she destroys tiffs payment methods so ann has to pay. Or worst case scenario: she has lied to tom so much, sensationalizing and embellishing that tom has said “cut her off, she’s on her own.”

…ann is certainly building up a whole big load of bad karma for herself…

This almost reads as a modern day version of Cinderella and the wicked witch! Ann Eiffel simply cut up the credit card to preserve Tiffany’s dad’s money so she herself has more to spend. Jealousy, of course, is the culprit. Tiff’s dad is dense if he can’t see right through Ann Eiffel; of course, he doesn’t want to. IT builds his ego to have a younger women beside him…he doesn’t care a whit about Tiff. It’s an ego trip for him.

Maybe I’ll skip the next week or so. Probably not, but throwing mightily seems really unhealthy for my phone right now.

What are the chances of restaurant having camera footage, for proof as this blows up? Tiffany can call the bank that her credit card is “lost” and needs replacing, unless Daddy would have to okay the reissue. Even better the bank could say who cancelled it, so questions must happen.

Sooner or later the brother is going to have to get involved. He is the only one who is her equal and does not fear her.

Darn. I wanted a resolution to last week’s story line.

Poor Tiffany can’t seem to catch a break! Have to feel sorry for her now. Hope she manages to give Ann her just desserts before long (that is, in about five years in real time, given G+K’s pace of storytelling).

It seems to be time to summon a constable and use those scissors to cut all ties.

I can’t believe Tiffany was stupid enough to let Ann get a hold of her credit card. Why didn’t she just hand it to the waiter?

The waiter has gotten the lunches mixed up, and has accidentally given Tiffany the lunch that is meant for Greg. Instead of shrimp salad, Greg’s lunch is full of baloney.

Looks like Tiffany shed all that excess weight already. I suppose this week we’re just trading in Fat Tiffany for Poor Tiffany.

Dad’s a jerk and Ann’s something I can’t type here.

No, Ann is cutting Tiffany off. What a completely awful woman. Tiffany’s Dad is a huge idiot, if he can’t see what Ann is, and he’s an even worse Dad!!! This is getting boring; there are so many other better story lines going, with Luann’s whole college scene and Brad, Toni and their friends (and Toni’s bro).

I’d give a dollar for that to be Tiffany’s own card that has been cut up, and not one funded by her dad.

Tiffany should punch Ann in the face. She does have her own job after all, and could be using the money she earned at the kids’ place to pay for her shrimp salad.

Ann has a beautiful heart. Trouble is it is around her neck.

This strip has definitely taken a turn towards the dark side, where evil prevails.

I dislike the soap opera aspect of this comic and as with soaps nothing will ever happen to Ann Awful because villains are so useful to the plots.

A declaration of war and Tiff doesn’t have the financial resources to survive it. What to do?

I just had a thought about names- Anne is Eiffel, her son is Knox and her brother is grey. Assume les uses his father’s name the only way anne and grey work is if 1) one of them has an assumed name or 2) anne had more than one husband.

1) I’d wager she’s doing this without daddy’s knowledge thinking if Tif makes a show of it, daddy would back her. Risky, especially if ann didn’t pay attention to the card used, that could well have been one of Tiffany’s own (when I was in college I had a credit and debit card)

2) I wouldn’t hand Ann anything, that card should have never been in her hands to begin with.

3) generally when you order to go, you pay in advance

4) I simply don’t see daddy being happy with ann… eventually the honeymoon will wear off and the shoe will be on the other foot.

All these arcs are getting more frustrating each week…..but it’s working cuz’ we’re reacting. Damn! That Ann Eiffel is the embodiment of a word I won’t use here in polite company…and it ain’t “bitch”.

See what all problems would have been completely avoided if Luann, Des, and Tiff, upon learning of Ann’s fraudulent lingerie business, had just called the police and had her arrested instead of trying to get some high-school level revenge on Ann by playing a trick on her? All this Ann-is-cruel-to-Tiff story arc is poorly written, since it hinges upon everyone in the cast’s being a total idiot.

Time to get some balls Tiff.

Ah Tiffany and Ann, and that chump of a dad, Tom Farrell. This strip’s only normal parents are Frank and Nancy, all the others are “different” on the parent spectrum. It seems clear to me that Ann is taking control of Tiffany by controlling her access to her dad’s financial support. Tiffany is dependent on him for everything, from her day to day expenses, to her college tuition, her car, and gas to run it, she is totally at Ann’s mercy. What a bad way to be. How is this going to resolve? Personally I hope she decides to get a job and work her way through school, with the support of her friends, but we see. What you think MD? Man I wish we could all meet for coffee, MD paying. -:)

Tell Me, Dear Friends and Gentle People. WHAT are Ya’ll gonna do if Ann is a PERMANENT FIXTURE in the Strip like her Worthless, Two-Bit THUG of a son Les, is? Tsk, Tsk.

But Seriously, Ann WILL one day get her comeuppance but I doubt it’ll be at the point where she’s banished forever. I wager an unhappy medium will be reached where Tiff is forced to endure Ann’s presence for “daddy’s sake,” for the foreseeable future as was hinted last year. Ironic isn’t it? Tiffany having to endure Ann for the sake of her Dad Tom and Gunther having to endure Ann’s son Les by keeping peace with and living in the Gulag, all for the sake of making Irma “happy.” Or DO they?

Argy/Dreamer postulated over at Acramax last year that Tiffany should drop out of College and go into business on for herself. Cut Strings with Dad once and for all and removing the power that Ann currently has over her. Tiff knows and Simone of Souffle Lingerie and a deal could be worked out making Tiff the Official US Distributor. And a Souffle Plus Sized Line with Tiff as a model would be a BIG hit over here. And (And I’m dreaming here) Tiff could get Gunther to help with new designs. They could even share an apartment. Tiff would be Far SAFER, cohabiting with Gunther than she ever would with Les. Tiffany and Gunther, Business Partners and sharing an apartment. Ohhhhhh, the POSSIBILITIES!

Okay, I just woke up. Tiff will go crying to Les, who’ll put her in touch with Al, who’ll come up with a workable plan, which will have Ann temporarily vanquished, making Les the “hero,” who’ll have Tiffany for “dessert” as a “reward,” I mean have Tiffany OVER for “dessert,” and Leswill later rub that “little detail” in Gunther’s face. REPEATEDLY.

Although Tiff’s last statement here, “I can pay for my (own)…”, is a bit flawed and assuming. That is, assuming the obvious, that the card is in Tom’s name.

I am feeling sorry for Tiff. Looks like she’s looking at another life-changing event.

Tiffany, the statute of limitations on fraud hasn’t expired. You can still pick up the phone, call the cops to report a major crime, and have Ann put behind bars. So can Luann. So can Frank and Nancy, and they really had better do so fast, since the crime took place in their place of business!

This getting so stupid I think it’s time to stop reading this comic for a while. How could she get the credit card. I’m sure Tiffany didn’t hand to her and regardless you can’t just take someone’s credit card and cut it up. I’m sure that’s illegal. It’s destruction of personal property.

So, is Ann symbolically telling Tiffany she has convinced Tom “Cat” Ferrell to cut Tiffany off of her allowance?

1. It seems likely in the “wheelhouse” of what we understand of Tom “Cat” Ferrell to this point. He is portrayed as being rather self-centered, focused on his own needs, and has to this point basically thrown money at Tiffany to keep her out of his hair.

2. Yet, this seems a “little bit” outside of Ann’s “wheelhouse”. She is mostly about power and money… with the least amount of work needed. To me, she must have a bigger plan than simply inflicting the pain of loss of allowance on Tiffany… she must have a bigger picture goal for more power and/or more money.

This will likely be a very dramatic week.

OK Tiff…. Moment of Truth, here. Looks like Ann is trying to control you by controlling the finances. You have a choice here. You can: 1) Report the card stolen and get a replacement (assuming it was in your name… most likely not if Ann felt comfortable ripping it…); 2) Scream and cry to Daddy (for all the good that would do); or 3) Kowtow to Ann for whatever it is she wants; or 4) Be the free adult you can be and go earn your own living and your own card. You don’t need a sugar daddy anymore… especially since the Evil Witch with the poison apples has him in her clutches. Be your own self. Earn your own living and break free from that toxic relationship. Yah, it’ll be hard at first, but the reward is well worth it.

Tiffany never wanted to go to college, and is only doing so because of her dad. Now is the time for her to go into the fashion industry, as she has always wanted to do.

If Dad and Ann did this to bring Tiffany into line, then Tiffany needs to establish her own life without them. If she folds, this will always be their go to move. I’m a little bit less judgemental of Tiffany now that I see what kind of man raised her.

Obviously, since Crystal went from shopping in toney boutiques with Tiffany to shopping in thrift stores with Knute, she has either been cut off by her rich family or voluntarily turned her back on them. (I suspect the latter, she seems so happy in her present bohemian lifestyle.) So she’d know the ropes on how to make the transition from wealthy dependency to cash-poor but life-rich independence.

Did Tiff hand her card over or did Ann grab it? If the former, Tiff is a fool. Ugh. Skipping the Brad and Toni arc for Ann crap.
