I guess it’s Gunther. But he doesn’t look quite right and I don’t think Gunther would gawk like that. How could Dez not know it’s Gunther, though? Surely he’s been to their room to see Bets?
52. We’re the AARP gang.
That must be the worst inking error I’ve ever seen. And Steff is disgusting. This strip needs to get out of the gutter.
Pretty tasteless writing here. And Kip buttoning up. Why is he even on the screen?
Very poor and lazy writing to let Luann be the butt of jokes and criticism time and time again. Put down your pen Karen, or try harder. Luann needs to get out of House Degroot and be allowed to grow up. Bernice needs to get over herself. And Nil needs to ask himself “wtf was I thinking?”
I like Jack – it’s a shame Bern only appreciates his physique when he has more going on. He is a solid friend, likes animals, is upbeat, and is an overall good guy. Bern is certainly projecting her own desire onto Jack – he is not interested in her, and she has no clue. And poor Nil. He deserves someone who won’t be making stupid puritanical rules about making out. And who doesn’t want his buddy, too. Bern doesn’t warrant this kind of attention. Maybe give some of it to Luann, you know, the eponymous character of this strip?
I wonder if Bern still cooks the occasional breakfast for the Degroots?
You forgot the soundtrack (movie) or music (play) from the musical, “CATS.”
It’s unfair of Bern to make-out with Nil when she clearly still has the hots for Jack. It is also unfair that G&K have given Bern the most storylines this past year, seeing that the strip is called, “Luann.” Bern has 2 guys to dream about and Luann has nothing going on. Tsk.
Jack was trying to change the subject to a safe one – Monstro. Jack is hardly insensitive or pompous, here. He’s trying to calm Bern down, but she is hysterical. And he knows it. Someone needs to tell Bern that she is an awful listener, and therefore not suited to be a therapist.
