   A mass shooting averages 1 person shot per minute. Pretty easy when police response is more than 15 minutes. Stopping good people from protecting themselves is not the method. Need to start enforcing the current laws and make those current laws actually hurt the criminals.

   Missed one… Biden. People need to wake up and start looking at other parties. Media is still focused on the two party system. People need to wake up to other options besides emotions.

   It is comical how the tides have turned over the decades. It was the Democrats in the South and Republicans in the North. Not many people remember this fact as well. Both parties have their problems. Even now the Democrats have done well to keep the people enslaved, albeit secretively – ie, dependence on governement assistance such as welfare, etc; control such as telling people they cannot protect themselves with anti-2A enactments. On the flip side, Republicans also have their control issues such as anti-abortion, the wrecking of women’s rights; and anti-LGBQT…, control of what people are allowed to choose. There are those that try to adopt one hat or another such as the MAGAs and the ultra-left.

   People need to wake up and start voting other parties just to send a message to the 2-party system.

   Oh, I agree that the Civil War was a state-rights issue. Slavery was the #2 issue. Read biographies of Lincoln and Davis to see both sides. Problem is that wars are fought by politicians and the people, acting on emotions and mindlessness, do the fighting.

   Rising prices is great for government. Increase of cost means people demand more money for work. This increases income tax revenue. And the higher costs increase sales tax revenue. Businesses raise prices to offset these “cost of doing business”. Any theft also increases cost of goods – insurance and just to offset the theft loss. Businesses still keep their profits. Government gets more tax revenue. This is a cyclic issue.

   Problem is that government is happy. Business continues, and the people pay and complain. We need to think differently about who is voted in office, and both major parties are doing this to the people.

    I listened to a story by a gal that did mountain lion rescue regarding open grazing cattle. The organization paid ranchers for cattle that were attacked, in return that the ranchers did not hunt down the mountain lion. After a couple of years, the killing of cattle stopped. Thereafter, the herd was essentially protected by the mountain lion in the area since it kept other, younger, mountain lions away. The basis of the original killing was that the resident mountain lion was young and used the cattle for practice hunting. Once it was older and more capable, it did not hunt cattle.
