If he was planning to take Denise to see DotD, does the theater even have commentary headphones for the blind?

He was taking Steve, not Denise.

In our house, nobody seemed concerned about the violence we were exposed to.
    But bare breasts? Obscene!
Probably why I don’t take censorship seriously.

Well, there are situations where bare breasts are obscene. Of course, I prefer to make the examination myself before passing judgement…

And yet another good reason for Peter to be grounded, and Steve should be grounded, too.

Passion of the Christ came out at the same time as this movie. Given Andy praised that movie in another stip, odds are are she would have had no problems with Peter going to see that 2-hour torture porn.

    When is a documentary “porn”?
As it was, I didn’t like the movie. I can’t fault the movie for being accurate, though. That is actually what happened, with very few exceptions. People forget just how cruel the Romans were. Take the insurrectionists who were on each side of Christ when He died. Because of the approaching Shabbat, the Romans broke their legs so they’d die faster, not being able to hold themselves up to breathe.

Big problem is that it’s all gratuitous. Movies and TV used to be a lot better written. Then hollywood got lazy and just started throwing unneeded garbage into movies. Just throwing stuff in where it’s not appropriate doesn’t impress me in the least. Quite honestly, it got old, particularly when the script writing got so miserably poor. When the writers’ strike happened a few years ago, the best thing they could have done was to fire all of them and hire some college students who knew how to write.
Sometimes sex is appropriate. Take my novelization of the Bible book Song of Solomon. It’s about King Solomon and one of his wives. How crazy in love they were. I tried to keep it as close to the original meanings of the poetry, but it’s about a husband and wife who get married and have a lot of joy in and out of the bedroom.
Today’s hollywood turns green at the idea of a happy marriage or they wouldn’t have pushed substitutes that don’t work since 1989.
