He knows it’s a lame game, but he’d rather play it than read a book or study.

Funnily enough, I know a teacher that plays GTA with their toddler. During play they don’t break the law, drive the speed limit, obey traffic, and stop when prompted. They use it to teach their kid colours, rules, and even identifying car models.

Though on the subject of the game, why is a gun shop even in there?

Creative! Wonder if the kid ever sees them playing it “for real”.

“How freakishly counter-intuitive” …. and that, folks, is WHY people like Andy are so freaked out about kids and violence in games and videos. It may only be “freakish” in a video game, but it’s hard to believe the training doesn’t have SOME carryover to the real world.

Good point. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to put on a cape, run outside, and start flinging fireballs while tromping on turtles.

Well study after study finds no connection between them. Just like between vaccines and autism. And I’ll just bet you believe the vaccine studies.

I’ve been shooting things since Penny Arcades. I would not even own a real gun, let alone shoot someone or something. If you are inclined to do so, the game is irrelevant.
