NJ and Virginia are experiencing true health care in action. They’ve just removed two cancers and gave their patients a new lease on life!

A third party candidate, listed third on the ballot, came within several points of the BozOTUS candidate, a minority winner.
THIS IS GREAT! I submit a different outcome if the Conservative Party candidate had been more conservative.

The first of many, many, many crowing cartoons from the Far Right.
The Democrats deserved to lose these elections. They have a vast majority in Congress and hold the White House yet wasted their time and efforts catering to people who will never vote for them while ignoring their base.
Americans want change, not inaction – no matter what the Democrats do the Republicans will always attack it. They have found that they don’t need ideas, programs, or policies, all they need to do is attack.
The Republicans played to their base, got them involved, and angry. The Democrats ignored their base, so we lost interest, and now faith.
The chance for change is slipping away.

@Ken That’s how the republicans do things. Blame the democrats. Remember the all republican congress and white house? When things went wrong they still blamed the democrats!
Also right wing politics is all over the place. Your radio, T.V., newspaper, and even your pop up toaster are all riddled with right wing propaganda. If not for the internet we’d be goose stepping along with Anu_sAndy, fritos, and all the crazy goyem on U-Comics.

ANandy, are you talking about NY23rd district? Do you even read the papers? He couldn’t have been more conservative if he’d been carrying Rush Limbaugh on his shoulders, and he wasn’t one of three candidates – he was one of two after the moderate Republican dropped out under a barrage of wackjob hatchetry from the Palin wing of the GOP and some teabaggers. As it is, she still got six percent of the vote from people who wanted a sensible, sane candidate but couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a Democrat. Message: People don’t want nuts to represent them.

tj, keep telling yourself that.
I can’t wait for the angry old man to weigh in.

“Message: People don’t want nuts to represent them.”
Explains VA and NJ.
These two loses where a shot across the bow by the voters. The “blue dogs” from red states had better mend their ways or they will lose their jobs in 2012.
The only hope for the Dems is the fact that the GOP is just as screwed up. Both parties are having identity problems. What neither party understands is the people paying the bills (taxpayers) want LESS government, not more.
The far left is made up of two groups. The ones who don’t pay taxes and think the rest of us owe them an easy life and the “elite” who look down their noses on the first group, but want to feel good about forcing others give to the “less fortunate”.

^ Are you talking about the “Less Fortunate” Top 3% who pay no taxes ? The ones who Screwed the economy, and people out of their homes and jobs ? The ones with their hand out in the aftermath, taking BAIL OUT MONEY ? The same ones who have gotten Corporate Welfare ? The ones who now pay the Least taxes in History, While two Wars are going on and the Country is in collapse ?
Why yes, I cry myself to sleep each night thinking how lonely it must be to live in those Big Mansions with all that money. I ask myself not what I can do for me, but what I can do for them who still have a Mansions, cars, health care, vacations, pensions, and lots and lots of money ?
BOO HOO !

Keep hallucinating though. Next year will have real fun!!!
Hoffman was fighting against the Democrat and the GOP. GOP endorsed him only after the handpicked Republican Marxist stepped aside.

So Gorrell….. no comment on losing the 2 House seats? Yup… total change in the American political landscape. Especially since exit polls show that people weren’t even thinking about Obama.

KEN: You have no idea how politics work. You don’t win elections by catering to the base. You win by swaying independents.
In VA, Obama won independents with 49%; a year later, McDonnall got 66%. In NJ, Obama got 51%; Christie got 60%.
Swings like that make Congresscritters from vulnerable districts worry about how they vote. You may think their job is to ram through legislation because they have the votes. They know the job of a politician is to get re-elected.
As far as NY-23: Everyone forgets that Rahm Emanuel selected John McHugh, the incumbent Rep, as Army Secy, because he was convinced that a Dem would be a lock in the election. The mere fact that it was this close, against a candidate that no one heard of a month ago, a third party candidate that the RNC spent close to $1mil running against, a RINO no republican could vote for and that ultimately confirmed that by endorsing the Dem, is a minor miracle.
Ken Warren said, 2 days ago
If you don’t support your base it won’t support you.
You (unless you are Bush in 2000) win elections by getting the most votes – so you need your people to turn out and vote.
The Republicans had their base up and angry and they turned out.
The Democrats had their base disappointed and dismayed, we stay home.

Church, you seem to have convient figgures. But the 2008 VA vote was more aginist McCain, he’s known there and the crack-pot running mate he had, then for Obama.
churchillwasright said, 1 day ago
HUMPH: I beg to differ. The 2008 vote was about BUSH.
McCain was the weakest possible candidate, even in the opinion of the right. Those who voted for him held their nose.

CHURCH You make me laugh every time you say your not a republican. When are you going to catch on to yourself ?
churchillwasright said, 1 day ago
SENIORBS: I’m not a Republican. I’m a fiscally conservative libertarian whose strong on defense. As such, there IS NO party that represents all my views.I voted for Perot. I voted for Gore (to my great shame). If it were up to me, I’d throw every bum out of Congress. I owe my allegiance to no party. I just can’t see me voting for a Dem again in my life.
BTW, when are you going to catch on to the fact that the world doesn’t owe you a living, and that you’re basically a non-thinking, liberal-parroting dope?

You people are completely insane if you think EITHER of the 2 major parties is any better than the other, or has the people’s best interests at heart. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT, as are both major parties. “All things have an optimal size beyond which they become dysfunctional”. The funniest posts are the liberals…like the second post on this thread, accusing an individual of being unable to think for himself simply because of the man’s political outlook. Perception is everything, & there are as many different perceptions as there are people on most things. A difference in opinion doesn’t mean one is stupid. HEY! Can y’all say…gridlock? Whatever happened to the Connecticut compromise?

PS There’s nothing dysfunctional about sitting around, thumbing through the Federal Papers While sewing on your new Flag, now is there ?
And oh, My PERCEPTION was that the first person on this ”Thread” was a squirrel, and now look he’s found a nut.
I’m sure you two will be very happy together.
Kelley Cooper said, about 7 hours ago
My aunt used to have a big tomcat named Rosco who chased squirrels all his life…until one day, he caught one. I’ve never understood why ‘squirrel’ is supposed to be insulting. Squirrels are intelligent survivalists. Hey…every squirrel in this world is tryin’ to get a nut.
