I dunno. I think the Heat have transcended Laker hate by leaps and bounds. But what do I know? I’m a Knicks fan.

    GO PACERS!

    What’s the Rocky Mountain News?

J/K but yes I don’t think anybody outside of Colorado reads that paper.

    What’s your point?

We can hope this guy is wrong. It would be fun to see Mr. James again lash out at fans who don’t seem to appreciate how wonderful he is.

This is the NBA we’re talking about here. If Stern decides that the Heat should win the championship, the refs will try to tilt the scales to make that happen. Another team CAN win, they just have to play significantly better than the anointed teams.

In a way, back in the 50s, the Yankees were winning every year and everything..
The American league was becoming boring for some..
The trouble with basketball is that there is but one league, one set of teams..
To me, it makes no difference who wins…
But, back in the 70s, we had the American Basketball League….and when they finally competed against the National…they (American) would lose every time..
So, the two leagues “merged”,…..end of interest for me…

It’s the 3-4 month “playoff” season that hits the Law of Diminishing Returns.

Very true. When people are more excited about the NFL draft than your sports playoffs, your sport is in trouble.

The draft giveth hope. The regular season taketh it away.
