The fact that Nixon ordered the IRS to investigate, and that Obama knew nothing about it and fired the guy (who, incidentally, wasn’t in charge at the time) makes a little difference. But please, GOP, go ahead and over-reach. It’ll work about as well for you as it did on Clinton.
From what I have read, Nixon was brought down because he was looking into the REAL info behind the JFK assassination. After all, Nixon and GHWB just happened to be in Dallas that day – Nixon was invited last minute to the Pepsi convention, and George “couldn’t remember” being there but Babs blabbed about going to her hairdresser.
I’ve provided multiple detailed reasons why Watergate was not a simple left-wing attack, and have done so for you more than once.
You are more than welcome to ignore facts and adhere to your talking points, but the more you do so, the less relevance your comments will make to the rest of us.
Simple fact; Nixon was a nerd, but Reagan’s folks committed far more crimes: they were indicted, convicted, but GHW pardoned them all. Ford just pardoned Nixon, to save the country, not his own staffers and a future Vice President to serve with his son.
