Marcie laid down the law and now Thibault has a memory he will treasure for “life”. I would like to say that Thibault would learn from the beat down but in the real world he will just probably still be a jerk! Way to go Marcie!

Finally.

Happy to say that I grew up around kids who were pretty much the opposite of Thibault when it came to how we treated girls.

There was a “Thibault” who treated me about that way. I’m a boy, but was tiny and not very coordinated. HE always had about 6 friends with him.

And that’s how we handled bullying in the nineteen fifty and sixtys when I was growing up.

I remember being relentlessly harassed on the elementary school playground during recess by this one guy, who would pull his friends in to to pile it on, day after day after day, and one day I was done with it and did a Marcie and slugged him, to his great surprise. We both got sent to the principal’s office and told to apologize, which I thought was fiercely unfair. But the magic is that the guy left me alone after that and his friends backed off, too.

Been saying he was going to get pounded rather than shredded. And I said it wasn’t going to be Peppermint Patty.
