    This is interesting. In the early 1960’s a new British children’s comic came out called Buster. The central character was called Buster and wore a cap just like Andy’s. Indeed, Buster was referred to as the son of Andy Capp. If memory serves, Andy even appeared in some early editions before the relationship notion was allowed to drop. According to toda’ys cartoon, Andy really is Buster’s Dad.
