SUNDAY FUNDAY TIME

Elvis’ tail says it all: in panel 3, happy and pleased; in panel 4, sort of curdled with horror; and by panel 6, puffing up with righteous indignation!

Thank you to all my Orb friends for the boops, purrs, and prayers for my surgery yesterday. It went well; took about three hours. Besides the removal of the thumb tip, three lymph nodes were taken from my armpit. Now have a huge bandage on my hand, splint, and sling for two weeks. I think this will be more difficult than I anticipated…will see how it goes. I so appreciate all of you and your kindness and support. ♥♥♥Mega Orb♥♥♥

As Bagheera got older, my mother and I would call him a cranky old man. :D

I was horrified when my vet referred to my then-10-year-old kitty as a senior. How could a big ol’ kitten be a senior?!

Well he has been the ‘get off my lawn’ type all his life. Now the kibble fits.

Elvis, we all have a little trouble facing up to the passage of time. Sometimes a change of diet is in order. And I’ll bet the other cats get into your dish too!

Pucky is being so sweet, seeing the bright side of things! While Lupin, of course, continues being bratty … If he keeps torturing Elvis and Goldie the way he does, he’s going to get a double drubbing!

Elvis, it looks as though it is time for you start sentences with “I remember when …” (usually followed by a reference to prices), “When I was a kitten …”, and, of course, the ever-popular “Young Cats Today ….”

When my husband saw that the cat food bag said “Senior Hairball” he started calling Norton Senor Hairball.

You are still faster than a June bug threatening baby girl, able to climb dumb waiters to save Puck, and can chew through dreaded vacuum cords when necessary. None of us like to be reminded that we’re getting older (says she who just had one of those milestone birthdays)…

I’m past being upset by being a senior. And, looking forward to being retired.

Now I’m thinking about how old Elvis must be. Totally forgot he is much older than Puck and Lupin. He goes back even before the The Woman and Man were married. In fact, Georgia has said he hated every man she dated and one reason she fell in love with The Man is that he was so patient with Elvis. I remember her saying Elvis would do things like sit on top of the refrigerator and swipe at the Mans head!

Our 17 year old has lost some of her teeth, so we put her on a canned food diet. We call it her Biddy Food.

Lupin made me laugh out loud. Our Petey had to go to the vet yesterday and have a CBC done. Will find out the results about Tuesday. Petey is 16 and will be 17 in July and we want to be sure he is firing on all cylinders. He takes meds for his thyroid, but if there is a supplement that will help him have a good quality of life, I’d like to hear about it. Anything to keep my boy and best friend going. I lost my human best friend of 62 years December 17th and her loss is deep.

Just wait till the grocery cashier assumes you’d like to “use your senior discount today.”

I am 14 years older than hubby. Hi hair is gray and the top of his head has proudly begun displaying his handsome head. I still have my natural strawberry bl ond color despite qualifying g for all senior advantages. Get when we ask for one regular and one senior anything, including meals ,movie tickets , etc. , the vendor or waiter inevitably hands the senior one to hubby and the regular one to me. It’s becoming hilarious on date nights.

That euphemism makes me think someone is about to graduate from high school.

Sometimes I wonder if Elvis would recognize Lupin if he wasn’t bugging him.

My two kitties will be 10 in May! But they’re still such kittens… (That means I need to find them a grain-free senior formula they’ll eat.)

We just picked up some ‘soup’ style cat food (Lil’ Soups by Friskies) and it’s a huge hit with our older cat. We’ll need to stock up when it’s on sale – we laugh that we’re now on the hunt for soupy sales….who else here remembers “Do The Mouse”?

That is easily one of Elvis’ best expressions.

Today is Pig Day. I recommend we all consume a pound of bacon or ham (or even pork sausages) in its honor.

I was about to switch everyfurrybutt in my house to senior cat food then I got( “The Tiny Terror” or “The Remote Killer”) aka His Majesty. Now everyfurrybutt eats kitten food. Sigh.
