A wolf may keep boys interested but it probably also keeps them at a distance. That’s probably a good thing. I suspect a wolf raised from young is a very loyal pet

I think there’s a book like this before. in fact, I might have it on my shelves.

Little puppy is thinking “Yeah, we wolves are awesome!”.

I don’t think the Wiley Bears will go for it. They are what they are and besides you should of used them for the muscle and teeth.

Well, OK, Kate, but in that scenario mastodons and saber tooth cats and cave bears never go extinct, so does modern man ever exist?

Um, Wiley, when is Kate going to get a laptop for doing her writing?

My daughter (now 39) got her first computer at age 7. Of course, to be fair I had to give one to her little brother (at age 5) too.

Daughter grew up to be highly proficient with computers, and makes her living retailing them and other electronic goods. Son currently is a last-call-for-help sr. support tech for an international retail firm. Both make good livings out of the skills they began to develop as very young kids.

Their first computers? TI99-4As, complete. I bought them at 25% of wholesale when TI got out of the PC business in the late 1980s.

What is the “blue” bear doing to the “brown” bear

I think the Wiley Bears are really liking this “hugging” idea.

My disbelief suspenders snapped when I heard the outline, much less the few bits of plot.

Yeah, that’ll work out well…

Any of the current superhero movies could have resorted to an act of kindness, but it would have been over in ten minutes.

I think the alligator?/crocodile? and the sabre tooth cats look very interested in showing their affection for the humans. They look like they could just eat them all up.

There is a movie called Wolf Girl (not sure if it’s based on a book). It has an entirely different premise though.

[nerd alert] That character would be ‘The Dove’ from the original ‘Hawk and Dove’ comic by Steve Ditko.

While the Hawk just wanted to pound heads, his brother, the Dove, tried to find a peaceful solution.

These days, the Dove is just another puncher.

If this plot line doesn’t work she could always try with Saccharin Susie and go from there.

The wolf is there for a little dose of reality to make the fantasy premise a little more believable.

Sounds a little like a biography of Jill (I miss her).

It’s good to see Petey again, Lucy’s been getting all the screen time.

I like that idea. Of course, once the bear hugs the deer, the trick is to make it let go. Lets face it, animals eat other animals. Prey has every right to hate the predator. I still like the idea though.
