The trunk is cursed. All the things in the trunk are cursed. And Elvis is still struggling with the climb. They are very doomed indeed.

Wow, so many not-quite-live reporters! I wonder if they all came from the same era, or if some are decades older than the others? Did the younger ones pass on at a younger age, or more recently? So many questions!

“Not quite live” is cracking me up every time! And the source of the bad luck in the trunk has been found….peacock feathers! Some consider peacock feathers in the house bad luck and it is also an old theater curse. Of course, theatrical groups are hotbeds of superstitions.

And yet again, I rudely wake up the Woman by laughing.

How cute is Puck? Typical cat, just gotta see what is in the trunk. And Puck found all kinds of treasures. Can’t wait until the Woman finds him and sees how he is dressed. Or will she go to the attic? Stay tuned.

Puck’s “Attic Trunk Show” reminds me of Clark Griswold’s attic scene in “Christmas Vacation”. (although he was trying to keep warm)

I believe in ghost cats! When I have time tomorrow morning, I’ll share what happened early Tuesday morning just this week. In the meantime, looks like the ghost reporters are “motivating” Elvis to keep going, in their own way.

It’s occurring to me that, as Georgia is a Rhode Islander, Angus may be partially inspired by a gentleman named Art Lake, who was the meteorologist on WJAR (Providence’s NBC affiliate) beginning roughly about the time the Earth cooled and continuing until his passing a few years ago. There is at least a passing resemblance, especially with the mustache.

I didn’t notice it the first time I read it in the wee hours of the morning, but Angus said hecklusive. When I reread it this afternoon in my email I saw it. Is this an accent thing or ghostly pun?

Late to the party, haven’t yet read the hundreds of comments. Maybe someone already said this… but Puck’s outfit puts me in mind of the guard in the Emerald City in The Wizard of Oz. Not the gatekeeper, but the guard, both of whom were played by Frank Morgan who also had three of four other roles in the movie.

Puck in the last panel, made me squeal with delight! So cute. Puck certainly can relax and enjoy himself when he knows Tillie is on the job.

It occurs to me that with the Quinn property having been a cat shelter, there may be dozens of ghost kitties around.

The upside to being trapped in a steamer trunk is that it’s a perfect place to nest!
