   They created the problem in the first place, by privatizing student loans (turning education into a profit center for their wealthy donors), removing caps on student loan interest (leaving student loan rates 5-10% higher than other prevailing loan rates), making student loans one of the few that can’t be discharged by bankruptcy, and fighting any attempts to institute a Pay As You Earn method for student loan repayment. Instead of investing in the country by making it easier for the populace to become more educated, the Republican platform is to keep as many people poor and subjugated while extracting as much wealth from them as possible to further enrich the already rich. Step by step over the last 30 years, the right wing has strived to destroy this country for the benefit of a few.

   Just checking the comments to see if there was an answer to this question. Usually when a strip stops updating at the end of the year, either the artist has retired or the syndication agreement ended.

   Yep, happened to me last year. It had been a while since I rode my road bike with Shimano clipless pedals and I blew a tube on an unpaved section. I pulled over to the side and unclipped my left foot to stop, but while standing and assessing the issue, I found the bike was slipping off the edge of the road and causing all of the weight to lean right. I wasn’t able to get my right foot unclipped in time and fell over. The clips are great for extra power on the upstroke, but you just gotta assume that you’ll get stuck and fall once every few years or so.

   No pipelines were closed. He did stop the future construction of Keystone XL, which would have done nothing to increase capacity (once constructed years down the road) and obviously does nothing to affect prices now. He also is not offering yet more leases to public land when the oil companies have thousands of leases that they are not using. Anyone want to guess how long it takes for a lease to turn into a producing oil well? A decade or more. So, obviously THAT isn’t affecting prices now either. Now show me the new laws that were passed that restrict the oil and gas industry. You know, the Green New Deal that Repubs are continually going on about as an example of how Biden controls gas prices. Oh! None! No law changes at all! Hmmm… Well, then what is the cause? Could it be that the oil companies shut down wells and refineries when the pandemic hit and demand tanked, but haven’t opened them back up? Can you go to the corporate statements and see that they are deliberately keeping these assets closed because they are making more profits with the higher gas prices? Yes, yes you can. And when Congress tries to pass a bill cracking down on price gouging in the industry, who votes against it? Yep. It must all be Biden’s fault.

   It’s not just congress, it’s also the courts. Our legal system has effectively created a super-class of citizenry for the police. They are not liable for their actions (qualified immunity, which has not only been upheld a number of times, but expanded with recent SC decisions), and they are not required to provide assistance (see also numerous court cases that have found the police have no implicit duty to act). What do you call a person who can do whatever they want with no repercussions or expectations?

   QPubs want to twist this into some controversy, but everything Biden said is 100% in line with Public Law 96-8 (Taiwan Relations Act – April 1979) which is still the governing law on this issue.

   It’s amazing how Rall will twist himself into knots to deflect for his Russian benefactors. I guess because there were no protests (or at least protests that Rall would consider “major”) against the US Invasion of Afghanistan following 9/11, that we should give a free pass to Russia’s war of aggression against its neighbor.

    There have already been sites that followed the type of “free speech” rules that Musk wants. If 4chan was such a great idea, it would have been the dominant platform, instead of the cesspool filled with idiots that it is.
