The quest for “unobtainium” proves Cameron owned a classic British sports car.

Give it a rest, Anandy. It was already revealed that the ACORN story was largely made up to embarrass the organization and the Democrats. The “journalist” behind the video was recently arrested with 3 others for tampering with the phones in a Senator’s office.

I’m not sure what Lalo is trying to say in this comic or where it takes place, but the “aliens” look like devils.

At last, The US abandonned that 10-year-old kid dream and cen spend that money where it’s needed.
d_legendary1 said, 4 days ago
@ Corosive Hey those kid dreams brought us long distance telecommunications and memory foam. By the way when’s the next Sooky coming out?

Hey – Just because we aren’t going to the Moon doesn’t mean we aren’t going to other planets. We have to have someplace to go after we finish off all of the minerials and assets of this place.
The meek shall inherit the Earth, but only after we are done with it – hot, tall, blue chicks, sounds great to me.
Jase99 said, 4 days ago
For all practical purposes, it /does/ mean we aren’t going to other planets. Because the moon has far less gravity than the Earth, it’s much more practical to use a moon base as a launch pad for interplanetary travel. You require far less fuel to escape the moon’s gravity than the Earth’s, thus giving you more fuel for the trip itself and possible more cargo room.

legendary; Sorry I couldn’t update Sooky this week, my printer ran out of ink so I couldn’t upload any strips. Things should be back to normal by Tuesday.

Yep there goes another couple hundred thousand jobs in aerospace and supporting industries.
Thank you Obama-crits.
DrCanuck said, 3 days ago
^ Oh, look; dave has finally figured out that government spending creates and sustains jobs.
Ken Warren said, 3 days ago
DAVE - For what it’s worth, Bush cut NASA’s budget 8 years in a row, that is part of the reason we have no replacement for the Space Shuttle.
I don’t really think Dave cares, all he wanted was another reason to blame Obama, but I thought the truth might somehow help – very foolinsh thing to do when you are dealing with a Republican.

One of the few things that pays for itself.
DrCanuck said, 2 days ago
^ Yes, government pays for itself. Never thought I’d hear you admit it.
HOWGOZIT said, 2 days ago
Are you slamming or praising President Bush, Warren? As in the movie “A Few Good Men” you cannot handle the truth.

I remember Sputnik streaking over the skies on 4 October 1957 ; we all assumed that in a matter of decades space travel to the moon and the nearest planets would be a matter of course. What we simply didn’t realise were the inescapable consequences of a gravity well the size of the Earth’s - despite the fact that gravitation is the weakest, by far, of the four fundamental interactions ! Yet another reason why a basic scientific education is desirable when the hype sets in….

One programe out of thousands isnt a very good track record . Its only because of all the private industries that cant get their satelites into space without NASA that they make any money at all.If the fed, wasnt so stingy with their launching permits they woudnt make any money at all.
Canuck ,just stay in Cannaduh with the rest of your socialist deluded morons.
Jase99 said, 1 day ago
The US isn’t the only country with a space agency. Those companies can and do choose other nations to launch their satellites.
Dave, “socialist Canadians” aren’t any more deluded than the anti-Obama fanatics who blindly believe our nations problems began the second Obama took office. “Duh, it must be true because the people on one TV channel said it is. The rest of the world must be wrong.”
DrCanuck said, 1 day ago
^ Oh, I dunno; anyone who would live in THIS climate has got to be deluded.
Jase99 said, 1 day ago
What, a little cold for you, Canuck? My weather isn’t much warmer. I happen to enjoy the seasons. It’s just that this season is more enjoyable indoors.
DrCanuck said, 1 day ago
It’s not so much the cold as the “cabin fever” that sets in at this time of year.
So where are you, Jase?
