Now that Tara has a place to stay,

And she and Bernice, are now “pals,”

And Luann has escaped unscathed from her latest example of “poor judgement,”

And Bernice is now back on speaking terms with her family,

And Stella the One Woman Crime Wave has been apprehend,

I guess We can get back to Bernice endlessly swooning over Mr. Jack.

There. Problem solved. Now the two of ye pipe down and go to bed out of it…

I’d rather go back to ‘Adventures in the Gulag featuring Punk and friends’

For me, this arc never got running on all cylinders. I’m hoping that we move on, avoiding Shannon at all costs.

Yep, I called it – Tara would sleep on the couch. And Puddles apparently will sleep with her through the night, protecting her.

Meanwhile, I’m wondering if they have any banana pie left?

Tara’s feeling beat? I thought she’d be at least feeling run down.

Answer: NOT on the floor.

I would think either Luann or Bernice could take the couch or floor for one night since Tara was sore from the accident. I guess concern for their own comfort trumped that of their injured friend.

Aaaand… the fight was unneccessary.

So Luann and Bernice remain just as immature and bratty as they were at the beginning of the arc, nearly two months ago. No character growth, no lessons learned (Tara probably learned something, but not these two.)

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but can we check in on Gunther or something? These overgrown twelve year olds have gotten quite tiresome. Meanwhile a lot of other characters have been neglected lately.

One of you could offer Tara your OWN bed instead of the floor… I imagine that her knee is aching pretty badly..

Well, looks like that’s a wrap for this arc. Let’s see what Toni and Brad are up to!

Just looking at all the comments, it is nice to see no one thinks Tara is going to rob the Degroots during the night. At the fuse with her interaction with Stella, we saw Tara’s true values. I hope this is the beginning for her in making the right choices.

Seems a bit strange that her knee was bandaged over her jeans. Normal ambulance personnel would have made her take off the jeans to check everything and bandage it.

She didn’t even get that bloody knee looked at…

Oh, she can sleep on the FLOOR? Wow, how incredibly generous of them. Never mind that she was recently injured. Where did Nancy go? She’s really going to invite Tara to stay and then not even make sure Tara’s comfortable? Looks like it was Tara’s idea to take the couch (and wasn’t even given a blanket).

So Frank and Nancy are not the least concerned that or questioning why the girls were at their business after hours? Why are they not sitting these girls down and explain how this came about?

I’ve never offered the floor to a guest.

Luann and Bernice have been bickering since they were 13, 36 years ago!

At least they let her shower and gave her clean PJs …. NOT . Not even a real bandage for her knee..

Luann and Bernice are more and more like sisters♡. Tara made the best (and most comfortable) choice to calm their quarrel, probably also refusing their pajama and nightgown. Puddles sleeps with her because he sees that she’s feeling down and dogs love to support♡. I think it’s the beginning of a new life for Tara ♡. I’m not saying she’s going to move in with the DeGroots, but she now has someone worthy on her side.

Luann and Bernice are two of a kind. Two people with a contrasting mind. Luann is a ditzy optimist, you see. Always trying to get something for free. Bernice has is a know-it-all and facts you should beware. What a crazy pair. But they’re sisters, always together, all the way. It’s the Luann and Bernice Show.

But of course, where else but the couch with Puddles for warmth and comfort.

Luann: While she sleeps curled up on the furniture with the dog, Tara is even still wearing the jacket stained with blood. I wonder if the open wound underneath it received any treatment.

Do the Evans want us to think that Pittsville medical care is incompetent, and DeGroot hospitality is unfriendly? It would have been entirely possible to pay a little attention to plausible plotting, while still working in yet another gag about how those girls are bickering again.

think of this arc this way: Greg needed a way to get some of the girls together for interaction, and with the dorms shut down from COVID had to come up with a way to have them play off each other. Now things can proceed.

Somebody should have offered Tara a bed and blanket. That injury doesn’t look like a scratch.

Idiocy. Why would they offer Tara their floors to sleep on when there’s a perfectly good sofa nearby. Nuts.

BERNICE started this whole thing by listening at LuAnn’s door!

All’s well in Whoville with little Tara Who asleep on the couch. Even Puds has accepted her into the DeGroots household.

Surprisingly, I don’t recall ever seeing Puds sleeping in Bernice’s room. Is Greg signalling that Tara is now firmly ensconced in the pantheon of blessed characters? Even Luann and Bernice are shown battling for her favors. Yesterday, Luann apparently convinced Frank and Nancy that Tara was the embodiment of Cindy Lou Who.

I suppose that Monday we will be off on another story to let this incongruous situation cool off a bit in the minds of those of us trying to figure out what’s going on in this Jungle of Nool aka Luianiverse.

Just Damn. Is this in any way an accurate portrayal of young women, or sisters?

Tara gave Luann and Bernice the best lesson of all.

Why do Bernice and Luann remain friends? Bernice is such a snob.

Spring has Sprung and I wonder how we got here from Bernice losing her room to Bre’r Ben? In fact, the whole thing was triggered by Pru deciding to elope with her flyboy girlfriend. Holy Confusion, Batman!

One of the longest Luann themed arcs in a long time.

Why would she sleep on anyone’s floor when there’s that perfectly good couch right there? And why didn’t one of the girls offer her some clean clothes? I’m sure Tara would appreciate a hot bath and a change of clothes after that awful experience.

No blanket?

I don’t see this as the end of this arc. Tara sleeping on the couch is only a temporary solution. Remember, Tara didn’t want Luann’s parents all “up in her business”. I expect some kind of “family meeting” on Monday to resolve this. Or, maybe Tara will just be gone before breakfast on Monday?

Tara might be the first authentic portrayal of a college-aged woman I’ve seen in this strip…

Some things never change. These two could grow up, stop the bickering and consider what their “friend” has been through. The shock probably wore off and I imagine she aches. Good for Tara to crash on the couch, she’s too tired to listen to these two self-centered “friends”.

Bernice, not your house, as usual stop trying to one-up Luann. Trying to makeup for your screw up by making Luann look bad only makes you look worse…as usual.

Now they are fighting over Custody of Tara.

WOW Luann and Bernice are really the hospitable ones aren’t they? They actually offered their new special friend the FLOOR and I didn’t hear any mention of an air mattress. I guess it’s kind of like bringing a puppy home from the pound except you would have gotten him a pet bed, bowl, water dish and blankie. They really write those two to deserve each other. I’ll bet neither one of them have EVER slept on a FLOOR.

And Puddles is right there with her.

Geez, ladies – couldn’t you at least have offered Tara a pair a jeans that don’t have blood on them?

I don’t think it’s a good idea for her to fall asleep without getting into fresh clothes and changing the wrapping, and cleaning the wou—oh, never mind. It’s just a tiny scratch, the kind you get when you’re HIT BY A CAR and thrown over the hood! Silly me! (Seriously, is the bandage for the hole in her pants, because I think that needs stitches.)

Gee, an offer on the floor ladies? How old are these girls supposed to be again? Tara is an equal, not a pet….

And Puddles stays with her. She’s the least traumatically inclined of the three.

Also, why not let Tara sleep in a bed, and one of the others can sleep on the floor? Luann and Bernice aren’t the ones who got hurt! (Tara didn’t get hurt much, but, still.) Dang, L & B, that’s freaking harsh. Who would want to stay in that house in the first place?? I’d be so gone the first chance I got.

T. sleeping in the road kill clothes she was run down in? Neither L. nor B. had a spare nightie for T.? How about a blanket???

Critical, sarcastic, superior Bernice again makes an appearance!

She seems to forget that Tara already spent one night sleeping on Luann’s bedroom floor, and didn’t seem to be bothered by it. And Luann’s floor didn’t seem all that cluttered to me. Check out the strip starting 1/25/21. I can see the floor quite clearly. If Bern can’t, maybe she needs new glasses. :P Also, I think she has some nerve telling Luann “you listen all night.” Lu overhearing Bern talking in her sleep was an accident, while Bernice actively trying to spy on Luann was not.

But we all know Bernice just lives (and loves ) to criticize. It’s her reason for being, and her favorite target is, and always has been Luann. Bern is never happier than when she’s slinging her poisonous barbs at her “BFF.”

Personally I don’t blame Tara for taking the couch. After roughing it a few nights on a storeroom floor, and getting knocked down by a car, I’d grab the most comfortable place I could find too.

Even Puddles is exhausted by those two.

Smart move, Tara.

When Bernice said: “you can sleep on my floor, Tara,” Luann should have countered with: “NO! You can sleep in my bed! I’ll take the couch!”

THAT would have shut Miss Holier-Than-Thou Bernice up.

At least for a minute or two. :P

Considering the info presented in this link, Tara absolutely should have gone to the hospital for her injuries instead of coming straight home. Of course, we’re talking about a comic strip that, despite the creator’s claims, doesn’t delve too much into reality.
