For help on how to follow a comic title,
Meanwhile, I’m wondering if they have any banana pie left?
Ouch!!! Out of the mouth of babes, and pigs.
I watched my 2 dear grandmothers as they grew frail and older. Years later my mom (in her 80s) had Alzheimers. I desperately missed the hugs and kisses and the “I love you” that only moms can give. Like Capricorn wrote, we are going down this same road some day. Enjoy who you have while you have them.
The way this strip links past & present I have a hunch the cousin could be Dirk, Brad’s old nemesis.
I’m glad to see Mrs. Fogarty actually relate and show emotion. I was never especially impressed with her as a counselor when Luann & gang was in high school. She seems more sympathetic now.
Luann calling her dad. “Hi dad, just wanted to let you know I’m going to be late. I went out with a big muscular guy, who happens to be a nudist, and we had a flat tire.”
I had hoped for some basketball. Aargard, the talented 6-7 forward returning for his senior season. I believe we may have seen him in 2 or 3 panels over the past 3 months, while disgruntled fans went on and on in an endless argument with Moon. Disappointing strip for basketball season.

I hope Jack doesn’t get ‘too excited’ to see Luann.
I never thought Miss Phelps/Fogarty was very effective as a hs counselor. She never seemed to help Luann. She was most effective at having different words/phrases on her name plate on the desk. Kind of fun, though, to see some of the old characters re-introduced on occasion. Wouldn’t mind seeing Brad and Toni again some day.
