This will never happen…Trump attending the inauguration of his successor in January, 2021. I suspect that if he’s STILL around and LOSES in November, 2020, he’ll just quit and go home right there and then.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Dotard Donnie had Air Force One fly him to Moscow before the inauguration.

I just want to add that on that day, whenever it is (2021, I ardently hope), we, you know, The People, will have a delirious celebration not seen since the first Independence Day! Bands will play, fireworks will explode on high, and hosannahs will be sung across the land. Does anybody know what a hosannah is? I want to be ready.

I think there will be a peaceful transition, but my wife thinks he will refuse to recognize the results of the election and will trigger a new civil war. I hope she’s wrong, but I wouldn’t bet my life on it.

FWIW, the “So help me, God” bit is not part of the oath of office specified by the Constitution. Personally, I’m hoping that whoever gets elected chooses not to add it voluntarily. I find the obsequious (and undoubtedly insincere) public piety to be disgusting.

Of course, my ideal inauguration address would be this: “Thanks. Let’s get to work.”
