Sometimes I wonder if all the contradictions in religions are there on purpose. Either to test your faith or to test if you are actually paying attention to reality.
as part of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says this about God the Father: “He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (ESV). We are all created equal in God’s image, but some of us are good and others evil. No matter, he gives us life and we choose how to live it.
God may have a sense of humor but Priests and Nuns don’t. Just because I told that joke that ends “The feet kid! The feet!” why did I have to kneel on the cement floor for the rest of Catechism?
Does anyone here stop to think that God (who or whatever that may be) predates so-called Christianity by considerable? I’m pretty sure that wondering humans ALWAYS find a way to explain the unknown by inventing gods.
It is my contention that God created man for comic relief.
I believe that among the many blessings the big guy bestowed on us, a sense of humor is one of the greatest: to be able to laugh at ourselves collectively instead of using the differences to separate ourselves.
Hobbes nailed it. Anybody who says God has no sense of humor just hasn’t looked around at the laughable mix of shapes, sizes, and clothing being sported by some of his experiments.
I feel like the cancellation of a classic, enjoyable, comic strip has made several people miss and have sorrow for a splat of ink, quite incredible, right?
In Planets of the Apes, they said the exact same thing. When will people wake up and do away with all religions and governments. Let the world be run by the United Nations and stop all the wars.. Its politics and religions that cause all of the problems. Its always I am right and your wrong… what if everyone is WRONG! The Greeks and Romans were wrong so how did the 21st century get it right.. No one person can get the world to change in just 4 years, and no one mythological being can ever change anything. If you ask any person on the street what they are, you will be told a race, ethnicity, religious or a political following and each of these things were handed down to you from birth. Until every human being on earth just only considers themselves an Earthling and nothing else will we ever have the capacity of true growth instead of eventual extinction.
Hobbs also was created in God’s own image. Human’s assumption that they look like God is wrong. Everything alive is created in God’s own image – the image He conjured for each specie, [If there is a God]

Well, according to some, He had an inordinate fondness for beetles (because there are so many species of beetles).
