   I’ve had lots of dogs over the years…shared my food with them, slept with them, walked them, taught them tricks, etc. I’m more afraid of getting sick from the chemicals we put on them than of any germs they might carry. I have never once gotten sick from a cat, dog or bird. One dog I had did get ringworm from….my husband!

   Why don’t we get rid of Health Insurance altogether except for hospitalization. When I was growing up we had a family doctor & he did not take ANY insurance. He was still charging $20 for an office visit until he retired in the early 90’s.. If you didn’t have it his wife would bill you. He didn;t order too many tests because he knew all his patients & actually talked to them. He said if he took insurance he would have to hire people to do the paperwork & then he couldn’t charge $20 any more. The insurance companies & lawyers have put the family doctor out of business.

   Yeah - Medicare is SO great, then why don’t they pay for anything? And everything is so tied up in red tape you can forget about collecting from them. I work for a PT and we can’t afford to take many medicare patients. And most health insurances are non-profit anyway. The VA works here in Maryland, my husband goes there, but the quality of care in other areas of the country sucks. Nothing the government ets involved in doesn’t involve graft & corruption.
