One of my profs of computer science wore red sneakers. They weren’t little, though they were indeed very red. He was the one who refused to use a tolerably good password, though I never found out that anyone had “cracked” his account. Maybe everyone was too afraid of him… he had the reputation of being extremely mean to people who were unprepared in class… and maybe it slopped over? Long gone, now.
PS: I (male and somewhat older than average at university) had no problem with him in class. Though it’s true that I was always prepared. I have watched him verbally flay other undergrads until they (virtually) melted away. At least one of them changed to another major. I later had him for a grad level class. There was an open book untimed final (the worst kind of time sink). One of the questions was a proof which was basically… impossible… except that I knew the grad student who shared my office (whose grad professor was this man) had solved it. I got full credit on that question by simply referencing his paper.
Honor and gratitude to all who have served and those who have loved them. Prayers for the fallen and hope for the injured and those who have cared for them.
Because he saw the movie with Kurt Russell: “The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes”…https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065566/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_q_The%2520Computer%2520Wore%2520
Asked bard.google.com this question, and bard referenced this strip. But bard thinks Calvin wrote the strip, and bard thinks the strip is an example of Calvin’s sense of humor. Bard doesn’t understand that Watterson wrote the strip and that Calvin is a character in the strip.
Well, I saw Kurt Russel in “The computer that wore tennis shoes.” so, I’m ready to believe. I suspect Calvin Could be the poster child for Artificial Intelligence. (Fake Smart)

I like how the tiger shoots down every one of his plans and inventions!!! Yet, he’s a self-proclaimed genius.
