Mystery solved!

I’m not sure who is more annoyed – Elvis or Lupin.

Well, Elvis…. Traditions can fade, new ones are adopted; no doubt you’ll find a new way to celebrate the season and vex the People at the same time!

Goldie is one smart cookie.

I guess the woman doesn’t share the same appreciation for Elvis’ Christmas cookie tradition he does.

Lupin has lost his new sleep spot. Surely that’s why he’s so upset?

Isn’t that the cake tray Lupin was napping in?

Cats being upset is normal. When they’re NOT upset is the time to beware…

There’s not that many cookies. I would think at least two dozen would be inside the dome.

Even when Elvis is looking undignified, he is still dignified!

Lupin, stop looking so annoyed. Goldie has given you the perfect chance to save Christmas, since we all know you are quite capable of getting the cover off that cake tray. She merely pointed you in the right direction to be a hero.

And Lupin is STILL not happy!

Blast that dome of exclusion! And it’s doubly worse because it’s see-through, the cookies within practically taunting Elvis with their intact icing beards!

Not a very enthusiastic response to my offer of a lecture on “Casablanca”. Nonetheless, for those who fancy it, here it is. Feel free to memorise it and deploy it against anyone who treats the film as just a love story. Make sure you use a superior tone that will clearly convey your irritation with the idiot.

Oh Elvis, calm down, you’ve forgotten that you’re a cat! think about it, all that tray needs is a couple of good shoves and it will be on the floor. hopefully it’s a plastic dome, but if not hopefully at least 1 cookie won’t have glass on it and it will teach The Woman a valuable lesson. better than barfing in her shoes.

if only Goldie could meet Lupin and apologize for taking his tape recorder, I think that might be enough to get him out of this funk. Georgia, all I want for Christmas is a happy, smiling Lupin, pleeeeeeeze?!

I love that smug kitty face Goldie has on panel three. I believe I’ve seen both Elvis and Lupin using it before.

When decorating her Santa cookies, the Woman must have patterned the SMILE on Puck’s or Lupin’s lovely sunny smiles (when Lupin is happy, that is).

Lupin’s face has frozen in that expression!

If Lupin isn’t careful his face will stick like that. I’m hoping for a Christmas miracle where the cat ghosts of Christmas past, present and future will show Lupin how horrible it will be if he keeps this up, because his attitude stinks.

So now we know why the Woman has invested in yet another fancy cake plate! I wonder how many of the others have those optional “force fields” to keep the Boys (not to mention the Robber Mice & probably the People-kittens as well) from getting into the goodies.

A friend ordered something called “cheese curds” from Wisconsin. She’s from Ohio and I’ve lived in S. Calif all my life so I’m eager to see what the heck she’s going on about.

Well, it was either that or keep Elvis in a cake tray through the holiday.

Just had this crazy idea. What if the power of the Dark Side is consuming poor Lupin in his anger towards Goldie? Is he becoming Snowball Taggart?

Went to see Cats yesterday. Liked it, mostly. The audio was awful in spots, though, not sure whether it was mixed that way at the studio, or the theater’s sound system. either way, what kind of idiot would make the orchestra so loud you can’t hear, let alone understand, the singer? Never saw the play, which surprised Mrs. Drang, which surprised me, as I thought she was aware that any stage production I’ve seen in the last 40 years I’ve seen with her…She commented that they introduced one new character, we suppose to better tie the story together. Sounds like they may have tweaked the plot a bit. No spoilers, though!Also, Andrew Lloyd Weber is said to have written at least one new song.As for the costuming/FX, some of the costumes did approach “creepy”, but mostly the chorus. After the negative reactions to the original trailer on YouTube, I suspect they spent time redoing the appearance of the main characters, but put less time/effort into those with less focused screen time.

Aaaaand…now I understand Georgia’s Instagram drawing of the raccoon handing Goldie 2 empty cans through the window…& I see he has a string for her too…took me long enough… D’OH!!!

With the crucial ‘Clue’, Goldie solved the mystery in short order! … There was no ‘candlestick’ involved, nor one in sight!! :)

Akiro is now the proud owner of his very own microchip! And since they had to sedate him to do that (he’s not an ‘easy’ cat), he also got a pedicure at the same time. He’s home now, with food and water available, and napping comfortably on the top tier of his cat tree.
