The only thing I can’t do without is tea. There are many things I get cranky about if I don’t have them for a day or two but only tea is essential to life as I know it.
My parents never put up anything until 2 weeks before. I didn’t either but lately my son wants Christmas going up by the 1st though he doesn’t usually get the tree up for at least a week. On the other hand, if anyone has seen Georgia’s posts, she put up Christmas as she took down Thanksgiving. There is still a naked skeleton in the yard though. I have suggested it be dresse as Krampus though it is the very large skeleton so that may be difficult.
Anybody who counts has more books than space to put them or time to read them even if retired. When the storm winds blow and the electricity goes out I can cuddle up with a flashlight in my blanket fort with a DTB i.e. dead tree book and be happy. If the flashlight dies and there are no batteries than a candle does fine so long as I keep away from the blanket.
