    So much here…

The Intruder who “sits on cats”,

    The Girl’s beatific smile,

The Woman’s mouë regarding the (unappreciated) pretty dress,

    And (of course), Lupin!

Two ways I’ve convinced my cats to stay off the kitchen counters… Masking tape & / or aluminum foil!

Tape gets a 6" piece formed into a loop with the sticky side outside, and many of them placed on the counter; cats find it rather irksome to get tape sticking to their paws & (eventually) fur in general. The foil is crumpled then semi-flattened out and put on the counter – they don’t the feel of it underfoot at all.

Since the cats are “leaping blind”, so to speak, they soon decide that whatever may be up there on the counter isn’t worth the discomfort they find when getting on the counter. This works when the People are absent, also, so the cats “know” that the tape / foil is waiting for them up there always…

I suspect That Guy Brad… After all, he’s a conniving one who isn’t above being Snowball’s catspaw when it benefits him!

I came across this a while ago; although it’s about a dog it’s still pretty interesting… Boji has become rather well-known among Istanbul commuters!

One immutable feline rule is that no matter what the container size or shape, if any part of the bottom can be seen it is, by definition, empty.

Sunday (of decades ago) was bonkers about broccoli – she’d grab it, back into a corner of the kitchen (so no one could sneak up from behind) and growl/snarl/hiss at everyone (furry or not) who came within 6 feet of her while she was eating it.

It’s not heat for its own sake; there is the mix of flavors & spices and their interactions, of which the heat is but a part of the whole. There comes a point where the heat overpowers everything else – this is folly.
