Or do you go with the legal firm which frequently airs ambulance-chaser ads on daytime TV? If those are your only choices, it means you might be one of those who had better just settle.

Honest lawyer, that’s an oxymoron if I ever heard one.

A local lawyer partnered up with another lawyer to make a firm and 6 months later they were suing each other. I was not surprised.

My son was thinking about becoming a a lawyer. I suggested he become a pimp because his colleagues would have higher ethical standards and he’d be held in higher regard by society.

I’ve met many attorneys and they’re just like everyone else (even cartoonists). Some are good and honest, others are not. Go figure. Signed, an adult.

I am so sick of every comic being turned into an anti-Trump crusade. Can’t enjoy the comic, can’t enjoy the comments. Geeminy people… get a life and take the foul stench of politics elsewhere.

It’s the same office with two doors. It all depends on how they “read” you when you come in.

My experience (small) w/ lawyers is that they tend toward being fair, careful, ethical (for a carefully defined meaning) and expensive. Two or three times, I’ve been turned down w/ “I would cost you more than you could possibly get” or some equivalent.

PS: My insurance company has lawyers on staff, and the one time they got involved, my outcome was approximately $50K ahead of doing it myself. And that was net of whatever costs the insurance co had. Not a great result, but overall pretty fair, I thought.

There does appear one lawyer that has some honesty then – calling your office Pillage & Burn does seem a honest description

Thanks, Wiley. You show that the problem is not (just) the lawyers. It is people: you, me, all of us. Human nature (a.k.a. Sin) always wants to “go for the win.” None are innocent, yet we (also) always look for someone else to blame.

Yeah, we know what firm created the whistleblower complaint, Pelosi and Schiff’s choice was: Pillage and Burn………Till you wear them down!!
