LOL, stop eating Christmas. One of those things you never thought you’d have to say.

I love Puck with the bow! I remember trying to put one of those on Bagheera, but needless to say, he didn’t appreciate it. Heehee.

Puck’s Christmas Tips are very amusing to read! Can’t wait to see more of them.

And don’t even THINK about putting up one of those mini-festive villages.

My childhood cat, Topsy, used to chew on Christmas bows because the glue got her high. She’d eat photos for the same reason. Dang I miss that little snugglefloof.

Puck and Lupin have truly evil looks in the last panel. Elvis looks curious and pleading.

Lupin and Elvis both already have bows. The woman’s hands are occupied trying to rescue Elvis’s bow. So who is tossing the bow towards Puck? Is he fast enough to catch the bow he tossed, or is the toddler or the man playing along with the cats?

Nothing is safe from Digger and The Demon. From the tree they ate to the tiniest piece of garland, they will climb on it, into it, through it, chew it, drag it to another room, hell… it’s only a matter of time before they have built a fireplace in the living room to lure Santa in and trap him…

“Stop eating Christmas” is my favorite BCN one-liner in quite a while. Right up there with angry Elvis’ “Everything I do is dignified!”

Oh, how true this one is… My family will not even be decorating the (artificial; lots of family allergies to live pines) tree this year due to the new Siamese twins. Maybe next year, when they’ve run off some of that teenager-kitty energy, we’ll be able to have dangling things like stockings and ornaments again. (We’re not big decorators anyway.) I expect “Stop eating Christmas!” to become a CATchphrase very quickly!

But Christmas is a time for eating.

Panel 4 is the best thing ever!

No-one wrote an epic poem to commemorate the events that unfolded that afternoon. There were no local tributes, no statues erected, no plaques engraved and set in concrete. Mere miles from that tow yard, life went on as boringly normal as usual. But there would be talk, all the way from the most sedate house cat to the Human law enforcement agents who were involved. There would be talk of a small group of cats who, unbelievably, did battle with a dog fighting ring… and brought it down.

At the release of the restraint chains, Megan reached for her cell phone and performed her one, pre-planned personal task. After double-checking that the “location” feature was active, she dialed 911, waited to hear “…what is your emergency?”, then simply dropped the phone. Baywolf took off after “Red” so strongly he actually kicked up a small rooster tail in the dirt. Red dug in and the men hooted and cheered in anticipation. Baywolf lowered his head and appeared to be channeling a steam locomotive. Impact was imminent. Then, in the middle of this field of battle, Baywolf simply stopped in his tracks. Red continued his full speed run, but when he was mere feet from ’Wolf, the Husky did something that Red had no defense for- he reared up on his back legs and came down on the Pit Bull full force with the side of his massive head. Lights out, Red. Game over. KO in the first ten seconds of round one.

So the truth is out.

Today I built an our Christmas tree… So if Pussya like old member of our family didn’t disturb me to build it and had zero interest to this process, Murka became an our personal grey squirrel. Hopefully she will have zero interest too before new year…

My two kitties never really messed with bows. They preferred to attack bits of loose wrapping paper. They’d happily go after ribbon or bows after they were removed from the presents, though. :D

What’s Christmas without a few chew and bite marks on packages, decorations, ribbons, etc.?

My cat always loved it when I gathered all of the packages to be wrapped and the wrapping materials and proceeded to Christmas wrap. They would jump onto the papers, grab ribbons and in general wore themselves out trying to ‘help’. Fun times.

Please say a prayer for Stephen Pastis that writes Pearls Before Swine. He had to say goodbye to his dog Edee who had cancer. So tragic to lose a furbaby and especially during the Holidays.

Good morning and happy Bunday, orbsters and orbabies. I am enjoying seeing the kitties playing with the bows and ornaments. I wish the woman luck trying to retrieve everything.

In our house, we have a tree skirt under the tree. Mittens or McKayla like to burrow under the skirt while the other one slaps at the moving lump. This gets more energetic as time goes on. Finally, after all of the lower ornaments are all knocked off, the kitties will leave the mess for us to clean up. And we will start the game all over again.

And would not have Christmas any other way.

I cannot imagine the devastation if I tried to put up a Christmas tree. Btw, we haven’t had a white Christmas here for years, but for now we are in the storm, it’s 27F and windy outside, and the lights have flickered a time or two. If you are in the storm path also, stay in and keep cozy!

Let the Ghost of Christmas Future give ‘em a good scare and you’ll have bottlebrush tails to complement the trees on the mantel.

My niece got a Cat advent calendar & got so uspet when it got chewed up before the end of Nevember!!!

My cats may be out of luck. The beautiful little treetop I got for my Christmas tree is as yet undecorated. Waiting to hear whether I have to go south to be with my 91-year-old, until yesterday very independent mother, who fell and broke two bones in her left forearm. She’s a lefty. The cats may get a road trip instead of a season of undecorating my tree…

We haven’t put up a tree for years. Its a losing battle. The castle just screams for a giant tree. 20 ft ceiling in the living room. But, the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Our few remaining plants cower in fear, always alert, never daring to nap. Deep sigh.

On Christmas morning we make a “leaf pile” out of the wrapping paper. It is very popular.

Kei and Yuri don’t care. But Li’l Fred’s in the tree and Ekaterina is in my lap and Sasha is in the kitchen with the Mrs baking brownies. But just you wait until the “Zoomie Hours” later tonight.

It’s beginning to look a lot like my house!

Yes bottle brush toys cannot be resisted silly people. I have a cat toy arch for mine that they love. Every once in a while I add a little nip and off they go. Chewing the arch rubbing on the outside and walking through the arch. I am smart enough to keep all bottle brushes in a drawer away from said kitties as to not start a fight.

We will be putting up Ember’s December climbing gym … I mean, tree … this evening, after the Boy gets home from work. (Go figure. Dunkin and Starbucks are closed, all our local restaurants are closed, pretty much every church in the area, including ours, canceled services today, but the movie theater is open.)

We quit putting bows on presents ages ago. And we only use self-adhesive name tags, so there’s nothing loose at all to tempt the cats. Of course, that doesn’t stop them from finding a small, lightweight gift to bat around the room. I find it’s easiest to simply gift-wrap a small empty box for just that purpose, and then stash all the actual small gifts inside a larger box decorated with its own wrapping.

From what my get says, Christmas trees are poisonous to cats

One of our kits is always chewing on the fake tree. Why, for the love of cat?? What’s tasty about a plastic evergreen???
