We had to leave the fragile, sentimental ornaments off the tree for quite a while after Dozer found the tree and taught future feline members of the family the Joy Of Climbing. O.T. Elvis’s Gotcha Day was 13 years and two days ago. Hard to believe she adopted Elvis as a kitten before she was married.

Cats behaving like chipmunks while chipmunks behave like MMA fighters. Things are a tad askew in these parts.

Shattered ornaments are a danger to the human children. Elvis needs to give Lupin a good smackdown to protect his Girl. I’ve told the story before, but my golden retriever puppy picked up one of those fragile glass balls she’d knocked off the tree with her happy tail. It was one of the scariest moments in my life. If she’d chomped down, I doubt she’d have survived. Fortunately, she had good retriever genes and a soft mouth so disaster averted. After that, I put Styrofoam balls covered in silk thread on the bottom half of the tree and locked the glass balls on by bending the hangers.

I got a Very Special Package last night! I’m waiting to open it, but it’s shaped like . . . could it be? [shakes it gently] a . . . CALENDAR?

I caught my “work cat” thinking about climbing their Christmas tree the other day. I said “no!” in a stern voice and of course she proceeded to lounge under the tree… which was what she was planning on doing anyways! Such a silly biped for thinking otherwise.

Got my new BCN Calendar for 2022! Iggy made it into the calendar this time.

Though we may all be in for some heartbreak if Lupin doesn’t pull through as he’s in it every month. That will be sad for us and worse for Ms. Dunn and family – and especially for poor Elvis.

I just realized that some of the tracks on the Christmas playlist I sent out don’t include photos/album covers. I’m kind of obsessive about these details, so if you’d like the missing pictures just let me know.

My tommybaum is very sturdy. Wide base, conical rubber trunk, no breakable ornaments. And a great conversation starter.

Yippee! I got my calendar today, too. Looks like several of us ordered on the same day. I haven’t looked at the whole thing yet. I will do that on Christmas, since it’s the only Christmas present I get. (We don’t usually exchange gifts any more).
