“As guarded and fragile as myself” is just true enough to not come across as corny cliché. I was still misty-eyed over that when I landed on, “this cup of tea fell off a truck!” An awkward way to make a kindness more casual under any circumstance, but a China cup? Of hot tea? I’m snorting at the vision of it falling off a truck!
Oh so much to love. Flashback to Elvis’s “forward my mail” comment (we fans nailed it)! Gentle Sophie crying with her tissue box – we feel you, sweetie! And yeah, where are your whiskers? You were a lighter shade of black then too. (I know, I know, the artist has explained how she developed Puck’s appearance).
It didn’t go as far south as you did it? It hit my town but a few miles north of me. Glad you’re ok! We hustled all the cats and the one dog into a closet and waited out the tornado warning with them. I’m guessing you did the same.
Yup, and you spelled it better than I did, it really is 1 word: chestadroars. Those folks who say Chester are adding an R, although come to think on it, my Daddy was raised to “warsh, wrench, and arn” his clothes. His folks’ roots were in Tennessee and Alabama.
Been there, scooped that.
