Cat mama since 1981.
I love Elvis’s deadpan, “that is a potholder.” It really gave me the giggles this morning.
Zoe loves her fancy fountain.
Sending best wishes from across the ship channel. We have power and internet restored, but Mama’s mailbox is “gone with the wind,” nowhere to be found!
Well, as a vegetarian, my choices are rocks or possibly poizn. Not knowing the poizn ingredients, I’ll take rocks, please.
Glad you came through this storm well! It’s the anniversary of the 1900 Great Storm that leveled Galveston.
Yeah, good question. I have wondered that for several years and this storm she told me that she is extremely allergic.
Thanks, everyone, for concern. Power back on here after 12 hours, Internet not so much. Minor damage to gate and garage. Charli reportedly seen by neighbor, not yet by me. As for my bites, been there, done that, got sepsis from a pet cat bite! (many years ago). I’m watching and treating these bites and they are not very bad (Charli must have remembered her BnB hostess and held back somewhat).
Power out here since 4:30 AM. There were high winds overnight. No sign of neighbor’s cat Charli yet. My cats are safe indoors as always. I think fondly of Kangtour’s cat Shadow in every storm, so glad he was rescued (twice!)
We evacuated Mama and she is snug at our house. When I tried to take in the neighbor’s outdoor cat, as I do in every storm/flood/freeze, she got freaked out by her owner picking her up and bit me. Multiple efforts to cat-nap her failed. I am covered in Bandaids and Charli is still out in the elements.
You eat quadrotriticale for lunch?
