I once sprained my ankle and was advised to keep it elevated. It really hurt. When I’d had enough I laid my ankle down and the pain went away.

One of the hardest things about my low salt Meneires diet is that Hostess Cupcakes are now a “forbidden food”.

Ding dongs, I have not seen that name in a while! it pops up every so often over on Bloom County as it is the junk food of choice of Mr Steve Dallas. Myself, as a kid I remember Twinkies from Hostess along with the super sweet fruit pies which made your teeth hurt. Also recall Drake Devil Dogs and Funny Bones though my Dad was a big Entenmann’s guy with their raspberry-cheese Danish strip or the similar one made right in the local Publix. I often think of the old man when I see the Danish strips by the Danish Bakery when I go shopping at Publix. Once in a blue moon I still purchase one and they are still pretty darn good.

She is resting, her knee has ice on it and is elevated. That only leaves compression. Lupin, get on her knee and apply compression.

What program is the Woman going to watch? More Father Whatshisname Mysteries?

Good news to report here my 15 year old cat Bella got out a few days ago and was missing. Got a call today she is now safe at home eating and sleeping. I would like to take this time to express the importance of getting your Kitties chipped. If Bella was not chipped she may still have been lost. So please get your kitties chipped

Be careful with compression in knee injuries… Squashing the patella into the joint too tightly can make things worse and/or cause new irritation/damage. Boop…

@Granny Roberta Has anyone heard from her lately? Been worried about her missing furbaby.

Hmm….Cat therapy is still the best. I repeat myself often on this subject. It’s all about the mysterious healing properties of Kitten Rays. Adult cats emit them too.

I don’t miss Twinkies or the rest. But oh I wish I could get Big Red (soda) and especially persimmon pulp. Persimmon pudding is the best dessert – and you can make persimmon bread from frozen persimmon pulp too. Best place to get it is Indiana. And no one ships from Indiana that I know of any more sadly. And driving to Indiana at present isn’t a safe idea. 8(

Saw daughter 2 and SIL last night. They are BCN fans but don’t read daily. He has recently hurt his knee. I told them to read this week’s strips. Ps. They both turned 35 this year!!
