The second panel should go on a t-shirt. I’d buy that & wear it!

I’ve been following you for more than a decade, and this is one of your best political cartoons.

It is a very respectful protest. Besides, players weren’t even on the field for the National Anthem until ‘09. This is so much safer and smarter for everyone than protests in the street where people are hurt and killed, property is destroyed, and the message never really gets thorough, and all the public sees is another riot. With this, players, owners and fans, of many races, are taking a stand on principle, and doing it in a respectful way that is visible to a LOT more people, all over the world. I’ll cheerfully take a knee with Colin Kapernick before I ever stand for the status quo racist bull**** of Donald Trump who calls white supremacists “very fine people”. They are not turning their back on the flag, dragging it through the mud, or burning it, I absolutely support their right to protest. takes a knee

BY “Bugs” I think he meant that some red food coloring is actually ground up, treated beetle carapace.

By the way, Mr. Conolly, synthetic rennet exists, and is used in some products, some marshmallow companies use carageenan (seaweed extract) instead of animal collagen as the gelatin base that lets the marshmallows be “fluffy”. Vegetarian substitutes are available for many of the ingredients that have been made from animals in the past. I’m sure there are some vegetarian and vegan websites that can point you to them. Good Luck.

    Mr. Stahler,

Normally, you & I have quite similar opinions but not this time. If the Pope had any genuine respect for the “public” much less the many millions of Catholics all over the world, he would never have allowed any sort of cover up of pedophile priests. He certainly wouldn’t have been actively involved in the world-wide cover up of their activities, sheilding them from prosecution, and moving them around to different parishes to victimize more children. He has long cared more for the appearance of the church than he has for the mental or spiritual welfare of those Christianity claims to serve. He and many others should be rotting in jail.
