Looks like Luann has some serious memory issues.

If Luann was making up a story out of whole cloth she could have come up with a better one.

They are both acting like jerks! :P

Well, they still have one thing in common…

Oh, BROTHER!

And I mean THAT, Literally.

Well now we know they’re still bonded in their mutual love of ridiculing Brad. So apparently Luann didn’t pee outside. That’s good to know.

Y’all both think Brad is a jerk, he might be, but i only see two people being jerks and that is Luann and Bernice.

Bernice didnt refute the peein part. So who was actully peein? Luann? Bernice? Zsa Zsa Gabor? An she slapped the officer’s face for looking?

So it is all fiction. I didn’t see where it had to be a real life experience. That’s a pretty good story, Luann whether Bernice thinks so or not.

His wife may or may not agree with you. And he definitely isnt dorky anymore.

Toni might disagree given her focus of late.

Haha! In third grade, they would have been 8 years old!!!!! I feel vindicated , I tell you!!!!! All the grief I got for my “mistake” and now it turns out I was right the whole d@mn time! Hahahah! :)

You do know all the great authors employ “poetic license to their writings. Perhaps Luann is the next Mary Shelly or Ernest Hemingway?

Brad pretty much fixed himself, having a successful career as a firefighter. What are Luann and Bernice doing, besides writing bad fiction and sponging off Frank and Nancy?

I remember once a friend saying that after 4 children she had her husband fixed. I about died laughing at how she worded that. Nice to see Luann and Bernice saying it though Brad has changed a lot. He and Toni ought to have kids, they’ve already gotten used to difficult ones like Shannon.

Maybe that’s why he and Toni haven’t had any kids yet.

So essentially her essay is a lie. Oh well, not sure there was a requirement that the essay had to be true.

That’s called writer licence. And the test is if the readers enjoy the story

I’m glad Brad matured, but these two can still laugh at the old, disgusting Brad. Interesting twist in the writing department and literary license! I like it! ;-D

So, Luann wrote a tragic story, where the tragedy is that if she and Bernice had met at 6, they wouldn’t have become friends? I have to admit, this story is nice, but weird! On the bright side, there’s Luann’s realization that Bernice and her have absolutely nothing in common, they just really love laughing together. I wonder if this is enough to be BFF… In the end, the real version of how the meet remains the one shown on a Sunday page years ago. They met in third grade and become friends doing soap bubbles together.

Brad had a lot of fixing in the past several years, Luann. He was inspired to become a fireman following 9/11, passed with flying colors, met his lady love, saved her from a terrible relationship, married her, and they are successful firemen with a happy home and stable income. How is that not fixing? Tell me!

At least it’s nice to see Luann and Bernice share a happy moment for once.

Analyzing Luann’s story we can see that: she’s aware Bernice and her have absolutely nothing in common. She sees Bernice as a nosey who always appears at the worst moment and is incapable of understanding how annoying and rude she is. Her fixation on the fact that peeing in public is against the law shows that she thinks Bernice is anal retentive to a worrying degree. Plus, Bernice can insults strangers without the slightest mercy. More than a tragedy, it’s a satire. Obviously Bernice doesn’t get the irony and they both laugh to a joke, but Luann probably laughs more.

Luann and Bernice think this is funnier than anyone reading this does.

I love how the positions they are in when laughing are the exact same as they were 2 days ago as children.

I just knew Bernice would dispute the facts.

If you mean fixed like Puddles, Luann, remember, you DO want nieces (and, maybe nephews.) Shannon is OK, but you’d like to start from the beginning.And, if you meant personality wise, what’s wrong with grown up Brad? He’s kind, caring, and, responsible. Gee, what traits are you missing.

Why is G&K promoting hateful family relationships? It’s depressing.

Sure, pick on Brad who has moved on to accomplish a career and a life partner, whereas you Luann, and Bernice, are stuck in the same old rut.

I had not realized how useless and immature these women are. G&K have led the strip to a new low.

The laughter they share is definitely like girls who’re best friends. My BFF & I laughed that heartily until tears came many many times! It doesn’t matter what it’s about. But joking about one’s siblings is a common theme, I am certain. We’re in our 60’s and we still do it!

Just then, Toni showed up pregnant

I guess these two became BFFs over a mutual dislike of Brad.

If they have a story line of him getting injured in a fire, both will regret this moment.

Really? Seems to be doing pretty darn good by any standards.

Well now we know Luann is just using her imagination to construct a “first time” meeting with her BFF. And that might explain why everyone looked so wrong age wise. I guess the bottom line here is that these two were in sync when it came to Brad and they bonded over that. It may sound silly but I know a lot of women who bonded with other women simply because they had young children. Once their kids grew up and were gone from the nest they found they had nothing further in common with these women and the “friendship”, even though it had gone on for years, faded away.

Except Brad has become a better person over time, unlike Bernice who has been the same insufferable shrew since her first appearance. Where do she and Luann get off on ridiculing someone who’s actually set goals and achieved them?

Okay, I like the fact that they can share the same laugh they over Brad many years ago. But I can’t help feeling that this whole story was just yet another build-up for one of Karen’s “I hate Luann, so I’m going to bash her” punchlines by giving her a “poor memory”.

Her brother didn’t get cool until he was older. He really was a dork when they were younger.

If I had my druthers, I’d like to see Crystal ask Tiffany to join Knute and her and their little twin girls and assist her with their new artistic metal shop. Knute now owns a cleaning business and doesn’t have time to help his still sexy Goth wife. Tiff needs to break loose from the drag hags of Pitts.

He was indeed fixed. Now he is right as rain. It just took an amazing woman to realize that theere actually was potential down there somewhere.
