Her problem’s unfortunate source/ was her Mom’s choice to mate with a horse/ now, she sings in despair/ “Am I maid ? Or mere mare ?”/ and there isn’t an answer, of course.

Because of her musical talent, back at the farm she was known as “The Stable Genius”.

She’s a short legged woman, it’s true/ and she may not appeal much to you/ but back at the stable/ she’s a real Betty Grable/ whom the stallions all love to pursue.
