Elvis will have a chart on the matter in no time. The other “dudes” (Aka, “good boys” ) will likely accept “’tis we!”, and cheerily move on…

Lupin is the one who has to work the hardest to figure out what is being said, so no wonder he solved the mystery of the dudes. Good work little dude!

A) Lupin has a bit of a west country dialect here. I love it. B) I also love how Elvis is reading the newspaper in the first panel.

Pucky really has great fashion sense. His dress for The Woman today & his gorgeous outfit when he was trapped in the trunk. We’ve got to get that boy on Project Runway!

The Woman is doling out the food pretty liberally from her ‘70s classic Tupperware container. (we had the green ones) Love Puck putting on a bib, Lupin’s “tis we” and Elvis’ skeptical look in the last panel. I am surprised that Burt doesn’t know what a dude is. gasp!

Finally remembered the lyric this reminded me of. Jefferson Airplane:

This is very confusing for logical types like Elvis and myself.

Lupin’s reasoning seems sound. The Woman asks “Where are ..” for things (e.g. toes) that are in front of her, so the boys must be the “dudes”.

But since the things are, as Lupin notes, clearly there, why does she ask where they are? She surely isn’t expecting the baby to answer.

No, I sympathise with Elvis’s doubts, but I’m sure he’ll arrive at a happy resolution.

I love the way Lupin is tapping the woman’s foot. I’m also pleased to see his correct use of the nominative case pronoun “Tis we.”

The above in honour of all veterans, and their survivors (who are heroes in their own right), but especially my Uncle Paul, who joined up in 1916 (at the age of 16), survived a gas attack and was invalided out. He died far too young, at the age of 40. Also for my Uncles Tom and Gerry, who served in WWII and brought home war wives to enrich our family. They are all passed now and my life is the poorer for it. Please remember, today, as you are at Armistice services, to thank a veteran or soldier for their service to all our countries.

Anyway, on a lighter note, happy Bunday, everyone. As usual, Georgia, your Sunday strips (indeed all your strips) are a wonder to behold and read. And LadyBri, you will be wonderful singing today!

When I had a roommate they had a black cat with a horrible name. A won’t even say it here. It wasn’t vulgar I just hated it. I decided to call the kitten “Little Dude”. Well I think he liked that pretty well because he always came to it and was always hanging around with me. He ended up being not so little of course. I miss “Little Dude” and wonder where he lives now and with whom.

Hey, dudes, it’s a speech bubble typo. She’s saying, “Where are my Duds,” as in, Where is the Milk Duds to pour over your breakfast kibble.

Hey folks. I have a really weird idea….

Was over on “Stone Soup”, and the topic of renting with pets came up. I wonder – what if a relatively large shelter went non-profit into the housing rental business?? I am quite sure there are ALL SORTS of logistical and legal reasons that would be difficult or impossible. BUT, IF it could be and was done…. affordable pet friendly housing that sets an example of what the could actually look like, and how it would really work! Thoughts? There’s such a wide variety of backgrounds here, maybe someone has connections?

Casualty Report

It is with a heavy heart that I must report the demise of a long time beloved member of the household.

He was a great comfort to kits and cats of all ages for at least 2 generations.

Rasta Banana was discovered unresponsive this morning in Trixie’s litterbox. Half buried and immersed in…urp…diarrhea. Cause of death unknown, pending autopsy. We can only hope and pray that he was deceased before he crapped out.

Coroner says he was pushed off the tub surround into the litter box by one of the kittens. Too much DNA from too many cats to make a determination.

Sadly, he was injured but still alive when he was caught in the flood.

I know we all have those special names for our furkids. Jasper was my “sweetie bear baby buddy boy boy.”
