Pretty much my thoughts on this early mornings daily speed hike in the Chugach here in South Central AK. This seasons count so far this year since spring on said hike has been 8 black bears and 4 browns, with one of those blacks getting pepper sprayed ..

Would have made a fine coloring strip.

I have never said before but, I really love your bears! Len’s Speechless bears will cuddle you to death, whereas yours will flat out eat you. xx

The Wiley bears haven’t figured out camouflage yet?

Reminds me of a walk I did one afternoon up a dirt road near where I live. Was lost in deep thought until I heard a snort, and looked over to find I had surprised Mama bear with three cubs. Fortunately, she went one way and I the other. But in that moment, I discovered what we both do in the woods.

Could we release Wiley’s Bears in the White House. It would be a two fold benefit, happy bears and a lot less stupid in Washington.

Now those have got to be black bears because, as a general rule, grizzlies don’t climb trees.

Pierre is to bear as Peter is to wolf.

I expected Pierre use the word smell instead of spot. Yes, I know this is about leaves falling, but smell makes ze rhyme. – maybe “spot the sneekee bears, not just smell zem”

In many places in the north you can’t even go fishing with out at least a 30.-30 rifle -Its the law…Fool Frenchman….

Just wait till winter and the big white bears snuggle up to the cabin window. Can’t tell them from snow drifts. Not sure if this will work

Sneekee Bears are first cousins to Wiley Bears.

It’s mostly a variation in the colors of the Fur.

Sneekee Bears have a faint Cammo pattern that makes them more difficult to spot.

I see a bare in the bear trees.

There is this things bears do in the woods. Having seen the bears, Pierre probably did it too.

I didn’t know bears climbed trees.

Our Ukumari ( Speckled Bears ) here in Ecuador are cute but not as cute as Wiley bears.

I like Wiley’s bears. They all have character.

Why does Pierre always seem to encounter bears in every strip he appears in? And don’t just say, “Because he lives near the North Pole”. That’s rubbish.
