And the arc will now go in a completely different direction.
What could possibly go wrong here?
oh this will be good. stay tuned………. heh heh heh
One of the funniest arcs yet!
If you crash the car, I see Hobbes disappaering from your lif Calvin
Calvin, beware of Karma.
Nothing a Secret Meeting Place needs more than a sign.
Calvin’s club is going to be moved into his room any time now.
“Hola, señorita! I am El Fugitivo!”
Oh dear oh dear oh dear, Oh Dear!
His fortunes are about to reverse
Danger Will Robinson, DANGER!
I like Hobbes’s line “In the past, you’ve been a remarkably poor judge of what your Mom cares about?” That sets the theme for the rest of this strip as Calvin greatly exaggerates how angry his Mom will be.
To quote another mischievous kid “I didn’t do it!”
Famous last words, Calvin!
perhaps Calvin should ditch the idea,, then again…
You can not push a car that is in Park and most cars you have to start the car to shift.
Is Calvin super-humanly strong?
Here, just like when I re-read the books, I’m always surprised that this is part of the GROSS saga.
Pushing the car around is pretty hard. I am thinking that there is no where this can go, but wrong.
Hobbes is now the voice of wisdom.
Stop Dragging My Car Around, per Weird Al https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmfc67NfwOw
If only the burglars had gotten the car too.
Calvin’s Mom will be starting a club: Get Rid Of Stupid Sons…
I was surprised at the twist to this arc when I first read it as well.
We pulled this stunt when I was a kid. Neighbor’s car ended up on the lawn across the street.
Ten years from now:
Calvin: “Dad, can I borrow the car?”
Thank goodness I finally took my Sienna in to have the Park recall fixed, or it may have turned out like that Jeep and the actor, or, worse, this. And, my Betsy was away overnight just to swap a relay, instead of her nice warm garage.
I think things are about to go down hill.
In “Little Lulu,” Tubby and friends had an even better sign for their clubhouse: “No Girls Aloud.”
From the category of “things you don’t do without having a plane ticket to a country without extradition treaties”.
they’re recycling this strip again
I was sitting in the family truck. my mother had turned it on then gotten out to get something she’d forgotten. I don’t remember if I touched something or if the truck was in neutral and started moving on its own. My mother tried to stop the vehicle by getting in front of it. Fortunately I had enough sense to shut off the truck and stop it. kids and vehicles are not a safe mix.
. . . A TARDIS, maybe?
last time the car coasted right into the street
Oh, dear! I remember this storyline!!! (and that’s all I’m saying)
Yup—I think I, too, remember some of what’s coming here. Somehow I’m thinking it won’t be good for Calvin …
Yup…This is one of the best!!
