A swamp-marsh? A swamp has trees and a marsh doesn’t (see panel 2 – no trees) but is this a swamp that turns into a marsh or a marsh that turns into a swamp?

And without snacks they are, of course, in a very sticky situation.

I LOVE Buzzy Mouse playing the familiar! Guess Clucky Chicken isn’t the role playing type.

Panel 2 is gorgeous, great night sky as always, Georgia! And yes, it needs to be on a mug!

I LOVE all of this! Middle panel is simply magical. And the wizard’s staff is a fishing wand…perfection.

If I were the GM for this game I would incorporate the Quest for Snacks into my narrative, in-world.

Those of us in whom the more percipient observer might just be able to detect the very earliest hints of the preliminary indications of the initial signs of the beginning of the fading of the first flush of youth know the origin of the “record scratch” sound, but how many others do?

I love Puck hop/shuffling along in the second panel, with too much costume on.

Reminds me of our weekend games back in highschool. One Easter we forgot the snacks so we dared each other to eat the dog’s milk bone treats.

Spoiler: they are mostly tasteless, and have a gritty texture but they will fill your stomach.

I lost track of our bard, but there she is, honoring us with the music swell. My favorite detail, fairly obviously, is Elvis’ wizard staff. I do wonder why he did not choose Clucky Chicken to be his familiar.

Even if he doesn’t have a staff, Lupin is just looking for an opportunity to “Ho, Haha, Guard, Turn, Perry, Dodge, Spin, Ha, Thrust!”

I recognize the cross on the front of Pucky’s “shirt”, but I cant recall the name.

my friend google says the “patriarchal cross” or the “Cross of Lorraine”.I first heard of it in a mystery story where someone saw it from a train(?) window.

What is Elvis holding in his right paw in panel two? A Book of Spells?

Gaming can be iffy. I play an online game and…well…have a small issue with figuring out my new character’s powers. I have this winsome little knack of unintentionally inflicting near-chaotic ‘friendly fire’ when in a dungeon. I’ve had other players actually flee in droves when they spot my main character.

I love how Pucks vestments cover the fact that his character has all of his limbs. D&D has been a place for the differently abled since the beginning. I remember a series of novels (before the D&D cartoon) where a gaming group was sent to the world and became their characters. One of the players had cerebral palsy and when they were getting sent home, he decided to stay in the body of his healthy character. Anyone remember the name of the series? That needs a reread for sure.

I wonder how many young people understand what that record scratch sound effect refers to?
