Why do 2 songs come to mind, based on the dialog? Tom Petty- American Girl: “God, it’s so painful, something that’s so close… but still so far out of reach” and of course, the Rolling Stones: “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” (you get what you need)

Now THAT’S the right attitude! I’d rather share a tent with my husband than live in a mansion with somebody else. (In fact been there, done that. At our very lowest point, in a swaybacked pup tent, I called Grandma just to cry on her shoulder, and she said she’d wire money to the post office for me to come back to her—but just me—and that’s when I realized that I’d rather be anywhere with my darling than anywhere without him. I declined.)

Awwww! These kinds of thing just melt my heart kind of miss their dynamics by far the best work that Greg has done… I know I give him a ton of S*** with his new characters but their story is what made me come back to Luann I just happened to be reading just as Brad joined the EMT class that was before the Firefighting class

Perfectly said Brad – no longer the gross couch potato. Under what was a rough exterior, Toni has found gold. These two should have a long and happy life.

Gee Whiz, Kids. Its not the end of the World. These two got married back in 2016. So its likely that they’ve only been saving up for a new house since about 2017. So, why they start saving anew?

Right now, they are only paying rent, utilities, food, gas and taxes. Is Brad still driving around in his old Nova? Is Toni making car payments? They never seem to go anywhere, or spend a lot of money (except on that “renovation”) So, if they are very fugal, there’s reason they can’t have a down payment ready by early 2021. Something tells me that at 650K, this house may STILL be on the market then. But at a considerably lower, semi-affordable price.

Funny thing about house hunting. No matter how much you “love” one house, there’s always a BETTER, more affordable one waiting around the corner. So, as Journey sings, “Don’t Stop Believin’!” A “Miracle” may yet happen with this house.

Oh. And I wouldn’t do any more “renovations” to somebody else’s house at MY expense if I were these two……,

BUY IT! Then when it goes underwater, you can declare bankruptcy and move back in with your parents, and the stress of being a failure will lead to divorce. Go on, you only live once, live beyond your means for a change. Everyone does it, even the president.

The Evans made panel 1 into a bit of a motivational poster setup. The payoff waits until tomorrow, although some would arguably point out to the “awwww” factor of the last panel.
