It’s always been the case, but it seems more prevalent now where people want to have a different spelling for a common name. They want it to look distinctive from the crowd. The trouble is they then have to spend the rest of their lives correcting how others spell their name (as they assume the normal spelling).
My sister did this for her youngest. Wanted something that was unique, so “Meaghann.” Yeah, let’s set someone up to go through life with their name being misspelled by everyone on the planet…
I have never seen a pretty tattoo. I guess the ancient Hebrews were right. Leviticus 19:28,“You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.”
