Here! Except today I had to mow and rake up the grass over my septic system, that’s my life!

So of course Pig had to get up early and make coffee so he could meet Goat at the diner for coffee. Wait … what?

I was expecting a really bad pun.

That’s not the morning routine I would have expected from Rat. The exploding brain part, yes. But not the rest.

Routine like religion. Most peopels is never give it up.

Surprised this hasn’t happened every day.

If your morning routine is interrupted, the whole day gets somehow out of whack. Nothing goes right.

On one hand, Rat’s usually a smug so and so and can deal with change for one morning. On the other hand, morning time is sacred!

I used to be like that. Fortunately with age I’ve grown much more adaptable to changes in routine.

DON’T MESS with the early morning “I’m NOT awake yet” routine!

I would love to have a routine. My disabled daughter and partially disabled wife have veto power over my plans, though.

I would’ve expected Rat to aim his head at the offender. To see Pig unharmed in the last panel is the un-punched punch line.

Sounds like my routine and don’t anybody mess it up!!!!!

Thing is, if you, like myself. are not really sentient until about 10a.m. (truth) that routine is what gets you to sentience while you can’t really think. I can barely HEAR before coffee and 10 o’clock. And yes, when I worked I found jobs that allowed me to NOT get there at the ungodly hour of (shudder) 8 and which I could navigate on autopilot until the brain kicked in. My husband, on the other hand, comes from a family of four . Bless his heart. When he tries to converse with me in the morning, he speaks slowly and waits for me to catch up. He’s a good soul

I’m reading this comic on Tuesday evening instead of my usual day. Altering routines should be easy. Of course, my routine is to read a week’s worth of Pearls every Saturday evening.
