   It just struck me: in the sixth panel, he’s not just reading the comic book. He is reading the comic book to the plant. Very nurturing. And another nice detail to accompany the flower detail.

   I just wanted to say, on a related note, that I appreciate it so much when the artists interact in the comments. I know how snarky comments can be, and understand those who avoid them (I avoid reading reviews on my books on Amazon, and God help us on Goodreads), and so I applaud those who take the risk. I love seeing the creative process behind the outcomes.

   Let’s see, we have a talking shark wearing a pearl necklace, a talking crab, a directory printed in English on the side of a mountain with floors, a shark and a crab that can apparently READ said directory, and yet we are suggesting something logical like a shark swimming up. I will have to ask the guru how all that works.
