I also want an adorable cat-eared safety helmet. Is there a line, may I join it…?

Guys he raised both of you. By now you should know anything you have which he cannot posses will cause him to throw a massive fit about not also having it like a toddler.

This is a rerun treat for me: I don’t recall seeing today’s strip!! It stands out, as “where did you get” anything you (a cat) are wearing, is a fascinating question. We have never seen little cat closets or little cat chests of drawers.

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

    Enter Broom Child

Broom-Sweepa: Whisk, this is Ora Z. She’s a small cat who loves to play.

    Whisk: Pleased to meet you!

Ora Z: The pleasure is mine. What do you like to do?

Whisk: I like to explore. There are so many places with lots of dust.

Ora Z: We can go to the Very Good Library. There are lots of places to explore and things to read.

    Whisk: Can we go, Mommy?

Broom-Sweepa: Alright. I’ll take you there after I’m done sweeping the Artisans’ studio.0

The issue is that the helmet is specifically there, not here. Although I am not sure what a helmet will do in the event of a vacuum cleaner strike. At least it keeps them from bumping their heads in their low hiding places.

I don’t think that Little Lupin or Puck’s helmet would fit Elvis inflated head.

Or is that all puff and fur?

Are they going to go full OSHA certified, coveralls, booties, gloves, safety goggles and helmets? That would really yank Elvis’ sour chain to peak melt down performance levels.

Not the China Syndrome …but the Siamese Syndrome …..where our intrepid reporter and his camerman witness a SCRAM event at the Nuclear Facility under the couch.

Puck as ( Reporter Jane Fonda ) and Burt as ( Cameraman Mike Douglas ) Lupin ( Facility Foreman Jack Lemon ) seeks to expose the plant for vacuum violations before the Siamese Syndrome can take place.

Puck – winner of the Catademy Award for best Actress and People’s choice winner

Lupin – winner of the Catademy Award for Best Actor, and Cannes Tuna Film Festival best actor.

Elvis as Drama Queen and the Siamese Syndrome .

Safety helmets should be bright yellow. Which for some reason holds so much more safety. :)

Elvis needs a helmet in case of shrapnel!

    .

…I’m not sure how vacuuming could result in shrapnel but that’s not the point!

Can’t—you’re under the couch, they’re under the bed, and there’s a mean vacuum on the prowl in-between you.

Oh dear, I’m afraid I’ve been unintentionally misleading! While I appreciate all the birthday wishes, mine is in December. By “made it another year”, I meant as in made it to another spring and summer, as that is how my internal clock or whatever works. Since spring is my favorite season, I perceive years as running from one spring to the next (may also have something to do with deep-rooted hatred of school and literally counting down the days until summer break and freedom). I apologize for any misunderstanding!

Back when I was in the SCA, a structural engineer who was the project manager told me I had to have a helmet on the job site. I asked, “Should I come in full armor, too?” He knew of my hobby, thought it was silly, and was not amused. I was SO tempted to actually show up in full armor. He’d have been furious. I still regret not doing so. I did paint my coat of arms on the side of the safety helmet. He didn’t like that, either. Everyone else at the site (including our people) was curious, and when I explained, they were amused—at the engineer’s expense. Officious, self-important, (insert epithet here) was not well liked by many. He was the beginning of my antipathy toward those in his field.

On a happier note, one of the other people in that company glued cat ears to her helmet, looked a lot like Elvis’s.
