Lupin has definitely found his happy place!

Exercise equipment you use once? Don’t be ridiculous! You use it all the time! (It just that you use it to hang clothes on after the one time you use it to exercise.)

It very obviously is Lupin’s favorite. So many boxes full of so many wonderful treasurers.

So much to get into!

Only one thing could make this a more perfect place for Lupin. Things to knock over and SMASH! He is glorious in his chaotic romp! Even without the Toebeans.

Exercise equipment you use once? Hah! My wife has used her elliptical 14 times. In 19 years.

I find Lupin’s look of sheer delight in the final panel almost encouraging.

Somewhat OT: PITB

I foresee disaster if Lupin’s allowed in there.

I knew they had to set aside a room for the boy.

We used to have a large empty room for my cat Purrsha to play in. I would use the laser in it since she had a long way to run, and she loved it! Sadly we had to move, but I have fond memories of that area.

So much for the People’s annual New Year’s exercise resolutions, ’eh Goldie?

OT:

People suck. Okay, not the orbsters – you are great, caring, cat people. I’m lead on the cat medical team for a local rescue. Yesterday morning the executive director messaged that two young cats – a tuxie and a black cat – had been left at the rescue front door at some point during the night with a kind note saying they had found the pair abandoned and were moving, couldn’t take them, etc. Security footage showed that at 6am a man with a face mask and hood up, approached with the carrier and left it. His car was parked on the far side of our dumpster so the tags couldn’t be seen. So clearly he had been to our facility and knew we had security cameras.

On Tues we have standing vet time with a practice that does ER and rescue medicine. It was a bit of a scramble, but came up with names (needed for online platform we use to manage animals in our care) – Kuro for the black kitty and Takishido for the tuxie (Japanese for black and tuxedo – not original, but we had about 5 minutes to come up with names and I’m an anime nerd), we got the kitties on the schedule, on the van, and to the vet within a few hours of them being dumped. They were chipped so we knew they were initially from a neighboring county’s county shelter. There were no missing cat notices associated with the chips. No record of who had adopted them – or they just wouldn’t tell us, no medical records, just that an estimated DOB and that they were adopted out at 8 wks.

Vet visit went well. They were negative for FIV/FeLV, had not been spayed/neutered (kitties are a male and female bonded pair). Vet was able to get them on the surgery schedule yesterday so they are now altered. All their vaccinations have been updated. In a couple of days they will be available for adoption. If I thought my husband wouldn’t have an absolute fit I would seriously consider adopting them. I know that our adoption team will do their absolute best to find them a loving forever home.

Puckmosis: That is so, Your Majesty. Agnes-Ata informed the Beaver Division of the Ancient and Accepted Procurers’ Guild specialized in scroll procurement.

Violet-Ifa: And the Afar librarian Beaver Lee Cleary is a friend of mine.

The Queen: Very well, go ahead and organize a trip. I know Adobe Style and Iron Glove want to come here to meet with the Artisans, so you can bring them here on your way back.

Puckmosis: Thank you, Your Majesty. Do you want us to bring gifts to Queen Mags?

The Queen: Yes. I believe Sophititi has some scrap metal she isn’t using, and Thomios can create Mags’ favorite pastries.

Agnes-Ata: And we can bring some gold and gems from the treasure room by the real treasure room, the library.

The Queen: Good idea, maybe you would like to select some items to pack up for the journey.

Puckmosis: Alright, I seem a few items that would be just the thing for Afar.

Agnes-Ata: Does it seem like a few items have been moved?

Puckmosis: Yes, and I think I know why. Lupinium?

Lupinium: Hello, Puck. Ora Z and I are just having a bit of a run around.

Puckmosis: Alright. Just be careful where you thwump.

Glad to see Lupin appears to have found some white pajamas so he can still be invisible without being (gasp!) naked. It definitely caused a stir last time Lupin was naked on air. Burt is right, that is a cavern of treasures, and like one I am sure it will be rarely explored.

I see so much of Lupin in our cat Holmes. Our crazy orange cat loves nothing more than to come running through the house, in particular the family room. He will hop from chair to chair to sofa, all around the room, never touching the floor (it is lava, after all). His other trick is to pull all the tissues out of the tissue box and shred them. You come downstairs in the morning, and it will look like it snowed in various rooms. He plays with Belle and Hamilton to the point of exhaustion, sleeps for fifteen minutes, and is right back at it.

Holmes has a love of life that give you joy just watching it.

It lifts my spirits to see Lupin so happy.

This is all so exciting! What a happy Lupin!

What do we think the People’s old bedroom is going to become?

A Zoom Room! And soon, a labyrinth of adventure!

Boxes!? Did someone say “Boxes?”

The incredible luxury of an empty extra room! (no guest room for Nana and Auntie?)

Makes me think of when my folks replaced the carpet in a couple of rooms in the family home—first thing the kitties did once the carpet was down was sprawl out on it.

and what if the empty room is at the end of the long hallway!?!

Not too long ago I bought and received a treadmill (my exercise bike hasn’t seen much use because it tends to strain a muscle in my thigh), and so far I’ve been sticking to my “one-quarter kilometer every day” schedule pretty well. My girl Jez apparently likes to watch me exercise, and seems to be inspired by it; once in a while she’ll crouch down, do the butt-wiggle, and launch herself out of the room, only to come walking back in a moment later.

One of our resident master filkers should do Zoomin’ Lupin to the tune of “Rockin’ Robin.”

OT: Breaking Cadbury Bunny News!

It warms my heart to see Lupin running around with a smile.

I see that Lupin is still naked.

OT — I stopped by my local city shelter the other day to donate some items, and THEY HAD NO CATS! They’d adopted them all out! Of course, there are quite a few rescue places and the Humane Society here; I don’t know their status. But, I was happy that there weren’t a bunch of lonely cats — and, there’s plenty of room for the inevitable spring kittens.

Living beings should not be classified as personal property

Good description of the use of exercise equipment, Goldie. Does seem most of us use it once and then store it.

Oldest girl is getting married June 3. They had to put a deposit down on the venue, so that’s when it will happen. When they move into a new place, wherever that will be, she’s taking Database with her. Data has always been more of her kitty and will be thrilled to be an only kitty. Of course this will mean that Update will be an only kitty until I can find a kitten companion for her. I’m hoping to find a male kitten this time.

My late step mother had one bedroom of their condo just for Xmas decorations. I got about ½ of it.
