I don’t like to admit it, but in my younger days I was probably as oblivious as Wesley. My wife (50 years in two months) had a lot of patience just to get my attention. I think I have improved over the years. At least I hope so.
When he was in high school wood shop my dad built a cedar chest for my graandmother in about 1928-1929. I still have that chest today. The key for the chest looks very much like Sophie’s key.
I agree with you. However, the best lab class I ever taught at the university was a chemistry class the Home Economics majors were required to take. The experiments in the lab manuals were essentially recipes and the students (many of whom initially had trepidations about taking chemistry) proved to be very capable in the lab.
