Well, that probably took care of his pressing need.

For a moment, because of the comic a few days ago about all the Christmas trees he’d seen, I was worried it was Ludwig she found. But he was safe and alive on the bed yesterday.

Now I wonder, what is is she saw? A mouse? A spider? Snake? Gray hair?

I’ll put my marker on a dark horse candidate: mongo plumbing problem. My guess is driven by the ease of making it a week long thing and that it took a while for the problem to come to light. It would also gain poignancy from Arlo still needing to use the bathroom.

It’s the odd modern home that has only one loo. Of course, Arlo, there is the great outdoors.

I dis that same scream 25 years ago after doing #2 and seeing the bowl filled with blood. Cancer in the intestine was leaking. Surgery a couple of days later took out a foot and a half, just in case, and I’ve been good ever since. It was quite the shock!

Call the plumber! There’s a flood!

My guess is that she stepped on the scale.

One time when we were in Biloxi Mississippi (and much younger than now), my wife stepped into the bathroom in her nightgown. Moments later, the shriek. Seems a large waterbug (common on the coast) had dropped off the ceiling and right down the middle front of her nighty. She still laughs as I had nothing one and I came running with my hands protecting “the boys”.
