Floridians just say don’t push your ideas onto our kindergartners. Teach the basics as has been done for decades, and just let them be children for a little while before the world pushes in on them.

Another fantastic political issue that doesn’t put food on the table, pay the bills, help the economy or does anything else to solve real problems or do anything positive for mankind. And yet, people vote for and support this. It is just mind boggling.

It is said that it is our ability to reason that distinguishes us from other animals. Actually, I think it is our capacity for cruelty that distinguishes us from other animals.

I am sooo done with all the sexual identity stuff, okay, go on, find a new and possibly interesting topic like….helping the Native Americans who are the truly forgotten, oh never mind. I do love the idea of teaching kindergartners about gender reassignment surgery, I mean why not, wait til the little boys of that age find out that Bruce Jenner had his penis cut off, ah the stuff for their nightmares. Reality anyone?

It seems to me that a number of the latest conservative laws being passed are really quite unnecessary. Like preventing teachers from teaching racial differences among preschoolers to third grade. Most younger kids, unless they’ve been heavily coached by their parents, don’t notice racial differences at all. And Race Theory isn’t taught except in Law School. So, where’s the danger in education that needs to legislated?

DeathSantis didn’t think this one out.

    1. Disney is the #1 employer in Orange County, FL. Lots of smaller businesses exist to support it. If it leaves, there’s going to be mass unemployment.

    2. At present, the Disney-run chunks of Orange County run at a (massive) loss, subsidized by Disney. As soon as those chunks are no longer run by Disney, it’s the taxpayers of Orange County, and Florida in general, who will have to pick up the costs for fire, police, roads and other infrastructure (including the airport…) and a lot more that Disney is paying for as part of the cost of doing business. Once you add in the cost of bonds and such which Disney will no longer be liable for, that’s over One Billion Dollars for next year. And if DeathSantis raises taxes on Disney to pay for it, Disney will bail for somewhere more friendly to businesses. Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Alabama, or even Georgia come to mind.

    3. Disney is a primary mover behind the high-speed rail link from Miami to Orlando; they wanted to link the cruise ship ports in Miami and Ft Lauderdale, and the casinos all over Dade and Broward Counties, to Orange County. If Disney goes, kiss goodbye to that project, currently about half built. (and not included in point 2 above.) (Note that Disney runs its own cruises out of Miami. It would be trivial to move their cruise port.)

So… how much is being wokefrei worth to Florida voters… and taxpayers?

The strange part of this is the kids would be less put out about this than the adults who go all nutso over having to accept certain realities. They just close their eyes and put fingers in ears and go Nah, nah, nah, nah!! I’ve seen some of the rallies of these “moral” people where they storm buildings, put up gallows and beat down cops. I guess that is normal to them.

This drives me nuts. According to the leftists, the law bans teaching something that no one was teaching in the first place. Then why does it matter to them? Would they scream so loud if I pass a law banning traveling into the past? We know no Floridian is doing that, just a bunch of Scots in a police box.

Our idiot governor is making laws for problems that don’t exist. There has never been any instruction about gays in elementary school. Now he is trying to get back at Disney because they don’t support his awful laws, but all he is doing is hurting the surrounding county. Now the property taxes of Orange County homeowners will increase by 20 percent to pay for what Disney was paying for.

Agreed. Elementary school children are too young to understand sexual identity issues to start with. BUT, one might wish to know that most gender “reassignment” surgeries are performed on what we used to call hermephrodites and just move the person to whatever he/she was born closest to. I don’t see this as a simple “homophobia” issue!

I don’t give a damn what people do or believe as long as they don’t continually preach, push their opinions on me or hurt, abuse or insult others. THAT is the mistake many radicals and minority groups make, forcing themselves on others and expecting instant and total agreement and obedience
