It just occurred to me that while painting that ceiling, the only way Michelangelo could move back from the work to get an overall perspective was to climb all the way down to the floor—a long way—then clamber back up. He must have been in awesome shape by the time he finished the frescoes.

I knew someone who installed a CRT type TV in the ceiling over his bed so he didn’t have to sit up to watch it. I don’t think it ever fell.
