I keep seeing internet pics of giant unappetizing looking hamburgers. Some of those bites are just going to be a mouthful of bread & a waste of food, all for Internet clout. Just bc you can doesn’t mean you should.

That might work if you use a rice cooker to cook pancakes.

The eggs are still whole in panel one. We had egg shells in our scrambled eggs when the kids first learned to cook

Have you ever watched the food channel and that thing they have with the world’s worst cooks? It turns out that there are a LOT of things in recipes that the writer just assumes the cook will know. And those cooks don’t… and not ever having been interested, they also don’t retain the various steps even after hearing/seeing them.

It was funny for a few weeks.

I stopped at a diner once and ‘Pancake’ was on the menu. Just one, but it was bigger than the plate. Much bigger.

A recent “Zits” strip illustrated a well-known fact: “If you give your son a meatloaf, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach your son to make a meatloaf, you’ll be cleaning up the kitchen for a week”. (The first clause is inaccurate, at least as it applies to Jeremy, the son in question. “Eat for an hour” (at the outside) would be more exact.)

There used to be a popular breakfast place where I live that pretty much used Calvin’s recipe. Their pancakes were at least 16" in diameter, and about 2" thick. I was never able to eat the whole thing, though they were really good.
