Knowing what happens gives Dad’s face in the last panel a lot more meaning.
Though it does raise some questions – did Dad know Mom was the one for him when he noticed how much she looked like Pheobe? Did he take more risks in his young adulthood knowing he would live long enough to be a dad? Did he ever wonder why future him couldn’t have thought to send back some stock market data?
For the first time, I was too young to understand this comic – I had to look up Bobby Flay. Although I’m guessing a lot of the older readers will have to look up what creepypastas are, so I guess we’re even.
It’s kind of funny that to many people reading this, VSCO girls are the “new young person thing” but to many people in the demographic, that idea is already pretty old and dated.
Oh, no doubt. My high school teachers were great, and I liked having them. And obviously, I see why the schools have to make it so we can’t be on our phones during class – no one would actually learn anything, and at that age most people still haven’t realized that they’re learning for their own benefit. But it’s so much better to be in an environment where I can be in charge of my own learning – and if I decide to skip class, the only person that affects is me.
