So they were by the moon, rotated to see Earth, zipped over to Saturn in less than a minute and then Saturn was eaten by a giant space squid. What’s the point?

I was expecting Cliff’s body to have Pam’s head by frame #3, but of course Irritable Belle would have had words with the artist over that. Words, and punching.

How did Brewster get a helmet all of a sudden in the last panel and the other guy went go to wearing white?

Some of those continuity people are either lazy or stupid.

I love it when a character is smoking a big, long cigar or cigarette at the beginning of a scene and then suddenly from a different angle it’s smoked halfway down.

I read somewhere how difficult shooting the scenes at the dinner table on “The Waltons” was. Few of the characters ever actully consumed food because it was left out all day. The bits were not all shot at the same time so in order for the plates to look the same from frame to frame nothing was really eaten.

Ah. This is one of those ‘spot the difference’ puzzle strips. Ah…ah…ah…well, I’m stumped.

Spent extra time today looking for more subtle differences in the background also.

Well then Fido got up off the floor an’ he rolled over

An’ he looked me straight in the eye

An’ you know what he said?

“Once upon a time, somebody say to me”

(This is a dog talking now)

    “What is your Conceptual Continuity?”

“Well, I told him right then”

    (Fido said)

“It should be easy to see

The crux of the biscuit is the Apostrophe"

A wonderful tribute to all those, “What is different between these two drawings,” cartoons we loved so much as children.

Whadda hoot! It was fun to try to “spot the changes!” Took a minute to realize Cliff was no longer Cliff. Took the white coat to get my attention!

I usually miss the continuity errors in movies and TV shows, but I did catch the one in, I believe it was a Western, supposedly happening sometime in the 1800s, where there’s a plane flying by in the background…

Good strip today, but wouldn’t try it without my coffee. Fully expected the last panel to cut to “Nancy”

Some prune juice will help with that discontinuity.

Back in the 1980s, Garry Trudeau used to put those little “continuity quirks” in his Doonesbury strip. Every day it was like a game, “spot the continuity error”.

I would think the opposite would be true when drawing cartoons. The anime artists learned that continuity in background art would save them time and money.

A lot of details often go overlooked. Sometimes its poor research and planning. For example: the movie Pandorum (2009). The survivors have been on board this craft forever. Life has devolved and gotten ugly. And yet, when the first crewman opens his mouth to speak his dialog? He’s got the whitest %^# teeth you’ve ever seen. They all do. I was like “what the heII. How in the heII do you find time for dental care when you’re stuck on a spaceship full of flesh eating cannibals and a reactor about to go critical?!?”

The Classic movie It’s a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart. In one scene he is holding a Christmas wreath, then not, then, he is holding the wreath?!
