Clearly Gordon has never driven a car. He needs to practice before taking the permit license test. Why did you have to victimize the Patterson family car? Go and do that to your own family’s car. When you said you needed to practice, you failed to disclose you didn’t have driving experience. Shame on you.

I think it’s safe to say Michael is probably grounded until he turns 18 and I don’t see him driving anytime soon.

Gordon should not have driven the car. Michael should have removed the keys before he could. Elle should not have left the keys in the car – EVER! So there is shared fault here. But I think Michael will pay the highest price in this case.

My cousin and I did this with my mom’s car. Although we were four at the time and we just rolled it down a hill. What we hit wasn’t a trash can but the garage door.

Having my view being THAT close, looking between Elly’s legs is NOT something I’ve ever wanted to experience..

You are never supposed to leave your keys in the car.

If I’d ever done something like that as a kid, my Dad would have screamed at me for days followed by a massive grounding and backbreaking chores for months.

Wow. Did they do recycling back then, or was those letters added to the green garbage can to bring it up to date?

Gordon should have to pay for the repair. Or his parents.

Well now we don’t have to worry anymore about that ‘first scratch’.

Why is everyone blaming Ellie for leaving her keys in the car? Remember, this comic strip is at least 30 years old. That’s what people did back then. My parents almost always left their keys in their car. That way, the next person to use the car didn’t have to hunt for the keys.

I worked at a place where only the crane operators were allowed to operate the locomotive cranes. A maintenance man got in one and decided to move it. He wasn’t a qualified operator and when he started it, the crane boom moved down and smashed the boss’s car. He had the same look of frozen fear on his face as Gordo does while he was bein’ screamed at by the boss. It was free entertainment for the rest of us though

On his second day of driving, our son took out our mailbox…the one I installed the week before, on a 4×4 anchored into concrete…

Looks like Gordon’s going to be on a chain gang or become Elly’s chattel. If he lived in the good ol’ USA he would have been off the hook. But this is Canada, where slavery is still legal.
